My question is raised by information taken from here:
http://kotaku.com/why-destiny-players-feel-screwed-over-1713417685
"And speaking of vaults, DeeJ recently dodged a question ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gy89Hrm56SU&feature=youtu.be&t=620 )from IGN about the ever-present problem of players running out of storage space, saying “there are moments where we ask you to make tough decisions.” His implication being that in The Taken King, players will simply have to continue breaking down potentially useful guns rather than being given more space in which to store them. According to DeeJ, being forced to junk the cool scout rifle you just got will “lead you to better understanding the role that you play” in Destiny. Again: yikes."
So my question for Bungie is this:
Will there be an adequate vault space increase before The Taken King?
Bungie, we will take the continued silence in the feedback forums about this issue as an indication that there are no plans to address the vault space again.

This is still a very frequently discussed topic in the forums. Many of your best fans are very frustrated about this. Please give us an official response on this question. Even if the answer is no, we would like an official response. Otherwise, what's the point of having forums, if you don't respond to your fans on tough issues?

Bungie - I'm thrilled that the vault space was increased again, thank you! But seriously... how hard is it to respond to our specific threads and say, Hey, it's coming... The silence from you is exactly why it became "cool to hate Destiny".

Bungie's answer is either "no" or "we don't care", take your pick. Their in-house Dr Moreau is determined to run his mad human experiment to see how much money he can extract from his patients before they come to their senses.

Is the vault space currently being worked on? https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/141389676/0/0

So I'm guessing no vault increase... Is your plan to just make all the year 1 stuff irrelevent so we are forced to delete it? I guess that's easier than fixing the vault...?

DeeJ tried to answer, but he just ended up farting again.

Edited by Naualli: 7/10/2015 6:35:29 AMBungie revamped their site adding things like The Armory just for ease of use saving us from checking items on databases like Planet Destiny, DestinyTracker or DestinyDB. Instead of this feature I would liked a lot more if Bungie addressed the Vault space problem, not by giving Us more actual space and thus messing with their item management code but instead creating an extended Vault. Imagine We all have Suros Regime in our Vault, at the moment it has been nerfed so its probably You aren't using it so it is stored in Your Vault using an storage slot that could be used for something You're currently using. If We could have something like an extended Vault or a personal security box where We could store Our Suros and that storage slot would be free. This extended Vault or personal security box could only be accessed via Bungie portal, and only in the Bungie portal We could move items from the Vault to the extended Vault and viceversa. If Bungie were to implement this, their in-game item management code could not suffer many or any changes at all because it would be a external extension to its current system. Only interaction between Vault and extended Vault would be allowed at Bungie's portal. What do You think about this? Do You agree? Do You have improvements to this? Edit #1: As reminded in a reply by ZyKryptic, Pokemon had the Pokemon Bank but it was a monetized service. I don´t want Bungie or Activision to have more options to get Our money when the solution I suggested is a fairly simple one.

How can they have time to respond to us when they are overburdened trying to make excuses why things don't work? Pointless interviews no one cares about. Promotions made to screw people over. Still to this day they have not fixed the VoG Raid. A freaking year later!!!! Lazy, lazy, lazy! I guess they could just lie to us again and say last gen consoles are holding them back. Seems weird considering in Fallout 3 on last gen you could have literally THOUSANDS of items in your inventory and lockers. Just seems like a lack of respect to the whole community. Only the sheep will defend because the wool over their eyes. Till All Are One........ Share Gif: http://media0.giphy.com/media/S0PxCfQa02kTK/200w.gif

JLoco11 absolutely nailed it: "Simple math when it comes to guns: We have 126 spaces total for weapons. 28 known exotics (27 collectible right now since Fate of All Fools hasn't released to the public) 9 VoG guns 9 Crota guns 9 Arena guns 9 Trials of Osiris Guns 9 Current Queen guns 9 Iron Banner Guns 2 story/collectible weapons (Strangers Call, Murmur) that you could only get 1 time. 1 story collectible you can buy any time (Vestian Sidearm) There were 27 Vanguard weapons total There were 27 Crucible Quartermaster weapons total There are 12 guns that could drop in the Crucible now as an after game reward There were/are a total of 9 Faction weapons per faction for a total of 27 guns. The first Queen's Wrath event had 9 potential guns, but the event was only seen from 1 time. That's 187+ POTENTIAL Legendary or Exotic weapons someone could have collected. Obviously we don't need ALL of those and the majority would be dismantled, but considering how Bungie changes gun balance, which alters a set of weapons, it's a big reason why people will keep guns around. Remember how great the SUROS was? Remember how bad the Thorn & Bad Juju were? Remember when the 4th Horseman was useless, until people showed what it could do against Skolas during Arc Burn week? Remember when Fusion rifles ruled the crucible? Remember when the Fatebringer and Vision were stuck at 300 damage and people got rid of them for the Fang? Remember when Shotguns were pointless in PvE? Remember the Mythoclast being "stuck in time"? Or how many times changes to Fusion rifles inadvertently affected it? Have you rolled a Spear with Final Round since HoW? Nope Have you rolled a Felwinters Lie with Hammer Forged? Can't Will you ever get the Strangers Rifle from the game if you deleted it? Not unless you start a brand new character How many times did you run VoG to get a Foil/Fatebringer? How many Crota's did you kill to get a Crux? How long did it take for the Hawkmoon, Monte Carlo or 4th Horseman to drop as a PS exclusive? Could you afford to upgrade all your exotics when Xur was in the Tower for the Dark Below? And to suggest that because we don't use these, we should get rid of it? You played countless hours in a raid (the best game mode in the game), only to be told sacrifices have to be made? Just because the Auto Rifle nerf makes the Abyss Defiant less powerful, I should get rid of it? No, no, no. The stories Guardians could tell of how they earned their weapons, could probably trump the lack of story Destiny told us. We need vault space, because Bungie's weapon balancing always shifts the power to different weapons. Sure, let's dismantle the Red Death... only to see it buffed into a monster. Let's dismantle that Truth because the Ghorn destroys it... only to see how well it tracks in PvP. How about getting rid of that pre HoW gun because you can't roll it to perfection even though it has better stats than current weapons. If Guardians really wanted to make "a hard choice", they will just play something else."

Bungie, what's the point of having community forums, when the only response we get from you, is this: http://helenkellersimulator.org/

Bump, I'd like to hear DeeJ answer this for once. I deleted a Titan to remake a hunter last week and it took me an hour just to move inventory before I could delete the Titan because there was no room to put anything. Vault space is a joke.

Here's a chance to do something more. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/136485193

bump If you believe it is fair that we deserve to not only get answers on these and other player concerns and that the community should have actual interaction with Bungie on these forums instead of the "we're listening" crap we get, please tell Bungie we're tired of them sabotaging this great game and don't log in on Bungie Day 7/7 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/132919434/0/0

all they have to do is copy and paste the vault and have pages using the RB and LB bumpers. Idk why it's so hard to do.
-
I remember last time the bumped it the only gave usna few extra slots because the last gen hit the hard memory cap. I accepted it at the time but then I realized that that was a load of bull. Each console has its own servers and the different platforms never touch. As a ps4/player I will never be in a fireteam with ps3 player. They should have given next gen users a more respectable number of slots and given last gen what everyone got. They even already had the perfect excuse. Sorry last gen you hit the memory cap so this is all we can give you. I don't think anyone can reasonably argue against that. Some may say it isn't fair but as the saying goes "whoever told you life was fair, lied to you". Also on a related not I'm a little surprised neither Sony or Microsoft have announced a deal with bungie to port last gen characters. Especially as a platform exclusive. It would be a great way to drive players to the next gen. Since player records are all stored on the destiny server some kind of code bridge shouldn't be to hard. Granted I don't know the numbers of people on the last gen, but it sounds like it would be a solid investment.
