I never want to ask in bc I play best slow and steady, taking as many numbers out from a distance as I can (I'm more accurate far away, swarms screw with me bc of no peripheral vision in game). I don't think that jives with a team, and when I do rush in like the rest, I git ded fast and end up having guys come over to revive, nobody wants that…

After reading this, it's clear you've never ran crota's end. Join a group on lfg. You can be carried through the first part, everyone cheeses the second. The end you barely have to do anything. The third part, the deathsinger, is the only time you may have to help. Just join a group sometime.

Oh yeah, never. I just got the expansions yesterday, but since I play solo I'm still trying to finish the black garden… I keep running out of ammo, lol. With all the hate on "noobs" and "scrubs" and all, I've been trying not to get carried, I don't want to be "that guy", so I avoid it as much as possible. Even in the crucible I only ever play rumble so I don't drag anybody else down.

I'd still suggest doing the raid. Don't even tell them you've never raided. At this point, people cruise through it without a second thought. You'll be done with the raid before they have time to figure out that you're new to it.
