What's your biggest beef with Skolas? I remember having this pressing need to do Crota every single week without fail, and have a full set of raid weapons and armor for 2 characters, it's not an issue of difficulty.
I don't do this with PoE and actually have not completed Skolas yet. Why? For me it's mostly the checkpoint, I just don't have that kind of time to play most nights; add in the fact that the rewards are really not any more attractive than doing the level 34 in much less time and using that etheric light to ascend an older raid weapon that's basically better in every way.
Edit: On further thought maybe it's 60/40 the lackluster rewards and not the checkpoint that discourages me, though they are really the same thing in a way: if I could pick it up again the next day at a checkpoint, the effort is less onerous. I'd like to see a single checkpoint right before Skolas (non-sharable) to save a lot of frustration from network issues or time constraints. It's far less demoralizing to say "OK, gotta, go, let's pick this up tomorrow", than "Well I just completely wasted my night."
Edit 2: For all you MLG ballers who solo it in an hour, more power to you but the site won't allow me to add another option now. Suffice it to say that this topic is not really intended for your particular demographic, which is suspect is the minority of Destiny players.
Edit 3: If your answer is "I do it every week, git gud," then please choose which option you think would make it more appealing than it already is. For your purposes, "too difficult" would equal "takes too long".

Nothing stops me, I beat it weekly
-
the juice isn't worth the squeeze
-
work was not a choice
-
The fact that my highest level character is lv32
-
Completed it maybe 3 times max. After getting the Shader/Ship/Ciphers theres absolutely no point in doing it unless you NEED the Etheric Light. The rewards are complete crap.
-
Don't play destiny anymore
-
There is no and I mean no reason to do it. There really is no reward. I don't desire any of the exotics from this DLC in terms of weapons and I have every good elemental primary. Again the items they came up in terms of weapons and such for this DLC are useless throw away items I would bet on purpose to get us ready to throw everything away for the next in which they make us basically start over on weapons. I don't know this but I fear it is the plan.
-
No point, I'd rather go 9-0 three times over the weekend.
-
I'm just lazy
-
Rewards suck but I do it anyway
-
The only incentive is the cipher, and i'm not really inclined to do something as tedious as skolas every week for a niche weapon.
-
No checkpoints. I don't have time to go at it for 2 or 3 hours without some sort of IRL distraction. (o7, old 514 merc)
-
Not enough time during the week/conflicting schedules with friends I refuse to lfg into prison due to kicked at rewards issue
-
You get nothing good from it. I have Fatebringer, Black Hammer/Spear, and Gally. I dont need any other guns for PVE
-
Dint feel the need to. I'm happy with the elemental primaries I have fir the other raids and the exotics aren't screaming my name either. It's not as much as an adventure as I'd like. I still do vog and crota every week though
-
I have all three weapons already but I haven't tried the "new" skolas yet
-
Too boring
-
Rewards not worth it
-
How about: o Not interested in PvE very much. Killing waves and waves and waves of computer AI on different skill levels just doesn't appeal to me so much...I prefer to go up against other, real guardians in the Crucible!
-
I'm at skolas right now and two players left. Can I invite other players at skolas? It's not letting me for some dumb reason.
-
For me it's people either suck or leave once we wipe
-
Etheric light, exotics, engrams. What else?
-
Haven't tried
-
PoE is my only chance at getting Etheric Light until IB comes around. That's why I do it.
-
I still do it once a week but do t have time for 3x anymore not worth it. Still working on my last elder cipher though
-
Time constraints
