Let's start this by saying that I am a day one beta and release day player.
I understand that bungie tries to make it so that new players have the chance to be as good and feel as good as dedicated players. My thought is why do the year one (be it any day of that year) players get grouped together. From my experience there is a large experience difference between many players, as example I will find a player that started their adventures in Destiny around the beginning of 2015 and a player that started around the holidays in December, and to be honest there is such a large skill difference (and knowledge difference) between those players let alone beta and day one players. This brings me to my point that there is not enough recognition of day one players. With the Taken King dlc info that we have so graciously received way before the dlc comes out they let us know there will be a shader, emblem, sparrow, and items for year one players.... but in my opinion year one is to broad. I am not saying there shouldn't be year one rewards but i think there should be week one or month one rewards, just to let us know we aren't just some of the crowd we are the genesis.
Now before everyone hates on me how would u feel if u were in the position of many dedicated day one players and beta players that just have an UNCOMMON emblem to set u apart from everyone else.... Im not asking for the whole set of armor just maybe an exotic or atleast legendary emblem, shader, sparrow, shell, or ship with a notable name like genesis or something like that.
Please comment and tell me how you feel about this. Are my thoughts unreasonable?
Edit: After reading comments it reminds me to add the fact that most of my friends that i played Destiny with do not play the game any more and they were day one-ers as well. Bungie please add something to keep the respect of the remaining genesis players alive. Stop worrying mainly about your new guardians and remeber and respect the original ones.
