*slashes his way through a jungle that formed on earth in humanities absence, muttering to himself as he goes*
"May as well mark this place down as somewhere not to go for the time being.....a squad sent here to survey the area would likely get lost, on that note it was a good idea that I left a tracker on my ship I don't want to have to try and find my way out of here normally.....*groans* signal I'm distributing is still weak and being interfered with, hopefully I can establish contact..."

-
*crashes are heard in the distances as if something just landed*
-
"Well crap.....hopefully it is a fleet ship, I need to restock soon..." *checks his armours status in regards to ammo and condition* "Great...low power means I'm going to end up trying to walk in a heavy titanium suit, low ammo as well, if things go bad I'm not sure if I can last through a sustained firefight.....or claw to face fight....." *begins heading towards the source of the noise*
-
*as you get closer you see marines and navy personnel scavenging supplies from their crashed Shuttle*
-
*makes his way through the bushes to the crash site* "Finally, something other than plants.....is there any spare fusions cells around here? My armours running on empty"
-
*an ODST looks at you and points at the shuttle.* "take all of em from the ship boss, we don't need em, all our gear has their own rechargeables. You must be the guys the admiral sent us out here to find."
-
*moves to the ship to retreive fusion cells, upon retrieving them he plugs them into his armour to restore is power* "Sent? What do you mean sent? I came down to earth a while ago looking for suitable landing site for the fleet, I ran into some issues and got lost in the jungle for a while. After that I set a tracker in my ship so I could find my way back to it because i inevitably had to leave in search of food, my radio has he jammed recently by a strange signal so I haven't been able to request evac, and my ship is completely empty so for now I'm stranded here. But if we can find and disable that jammer we should be able to radio for help"
-
"Yeah, the fleets are here. Makes sense seeing as how no one responded to our mayday. Alright sir, seeing as how you're the highest ranking officer here you're in charge now."
-
Edited by ThyLordIntrovert: 6/30/2015 4:16:16 AM"Ok, pick up anything you can carry without preventing you from defending yourself and follow me. My ship is a few kilometres from here when we arrive drop off your supplies at it and we will try to figure out why our communications aren't working, once we do that we can call for help"
-
"Yes sir, alright boys you heard the man! Pack up and move out!" *the marines and pilots do as ordered and begin moving out to your ship.*
-
"I'm wondering, these plants...." *gestures up at the tree canopy that covers the group* "Who knows what kind of radiation they were exposed to when the planet got sent through the wormhole. Now it may not even be the wormhole because the atmosphere would have prevented radiation, but what about when sol inhabited the planet, maybe it's machines caused some kind of radiation leak mutating these plants giving them the ability to absorb radio waves. It's a far fetched theory but if we have any emergency radios or even radio parts I would like to try getting above the canopy to send a request for evac"
-
"Not to mention the effects of the terraformers. We'll have people to study them soon."
-
*points into the distance at a silhouette of a ship* "See it? There's my ship, when we get to it everyone can drop off their supplies. I'm going to retreive my emergency radio, drop off my armour, and start climbing one of those trees when I get the top I will broadcast an evac request, if that doesn't work.....then I have some more thinking to do"
-
"Right sir, that's a good idea. In the event that that doesn't work while we were crashing I saw one of those huge satellite dishes they used to use to try and contact extraterrestrials. Maybe we'll be able to use that?"
-
"If the first plan doesn't work I suppose a satellite dish would be useful but let's not try that until after. Anyway I should be down eventually *laughs* one way or another" *straps the radio to his back then looks around, after deciding on a sturdy looking tree he begins to climb. After reaching the trees top and securing himself as best as possible he begins to broadcast a signal from the radio* "Can anyone hear me? This is michael of the N.T.R I'm currently stranded in a jungle with a squad of shipwrecked marines, co-ordinates are unknown but to guess I would assume this jungle is somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere."
-
*static is heard then a transmission comes through* "re-static- ast tra-static- ssion over."
-
*climbs back Down the tree trying to think of a new plan* "Ok, we can't connect back to command. Does anyone here have much skill in construction if we build a radio tower and position it above the trees we might be able to reach command*
-
*the pilot of the crashed shuttle steps forward.* "well I might be able to make something that'll work. We can use the antennas from one of our ships to help boost the signal although it may mean damaging the ship."
-
"Hmm...currently ship damage is the least of our worries it can be fixed when we get back to the fleet. Sure, boost the signal." *hands the pilot the radio*
-
*the pilot along with the shuttles mechanics begin taking the antenna off of your Ship and scavenge whatever other parts they need. A few hours pass and they come back to you.* "here's what we have. Let's test it, otherwise we'll have to hike all the way to those satellite dishes."
-
*straps the radio into his back* "Back up the tree I go.......what fun" *after climbing up the tree and securing himself and the radio he begins broadcasting another signal* "Hello? Can anyone hear me? I'm stranded in a jungle on earth with some marines, I'm not sure how long supplies will last and we need evac"
-
"This is command over, we're now reading you loud and clear. We're dispatching a shuttle to your position. We're reading some anomalies in the area though. Until then we just sent drop pods on your position with supplies inside them."
-
"I will look into the anomalies, they may be the same thing that has been jamming the radio Down here, thanks for the supplies I will report back as soon as the anomalies are solved" (Addressing the soldiers) "Ok, we are in contact with command but they can't land a shuttle to get us until anomalies in the area are cleared, I beleive there is an old, old, military site in the area maybe it has a functional jammer"
-
*several ODSTs step forward as volunteers* "sir if we can secure that base it could function as a forward operating base in the area as well as a landing site."
-
"Understood, search the base for anything that can be salvaged guns, ammo, whatever still has use. Also check if there is an active jammer and disable it if it is there"
-
"Yes sir!" *the ODSTs quickly prepare and then depart to the abandoned bass searching for the source of jamming.*
