Although this is an old, already discussed problem, I believe that we can still change. I feel that the majority of players that play Destiny are under the appropriate age for shooters. I think this age should be 18 and over. I'll give you a few reasons.
1)It causes traumatic situations. I for one do not want my child flinching and screaming away every time they see somebody holding a sword.
2) It causes anti-social instincts to grow. When you think about it, the average session a child will play in Destiny is three to four hours. That's three to four hours where the only communication the are getting is with people they have met over the Internet. I don't want children growing older and being scared of every person they see.
3) It teaches them bad words. Every lobby I go into, there is always that person (usually a child) screaming curse words for no good reason. Where did they find out these words? From older players. If there was a minimum age, you would not have this problem. Children are getting angrier because of this game.
4) My final reason is that it causes violence. No 10 year old should be able to make another creatures head explode, or shoot other players virtually. What happens when that transfers to the real world? That anger and frustration would lead to much property being desecrated including
Mailbox Baseball
Laser Tag
TPing Houses
Egging Cars
Multiple holes in the wall from being punched.
ANY PERSON who do not follow these rules should be arrested with a minimum 2 year sentence.
Thank you all for the support you give me. I believe that a change to only 18 year olds and over would make the worlds youth safer and more intelligent than currently.

Ah yes I grew up playing Halo and MechWarrior as a child and now I cant even watch an Action Movie without having a complete nervous breakdown. As for my social situations I have absolutely no friends want to know why? Well its because I cant stop beating them up and trying to hit them with hard objects. I have daily therapy AND anger management courses. To all parents out there... Please do not let your child play video games. I can confirm that the source of all modern day violence and social incompetence is because of Video games. Lol

Umm... I respectfully disagree. I am fourteen, and destiny is the first fps game I have ever played. I did not learn curse words from people online, I learned them from walking down the 6th grade hallway, and I still don't say them, to this day. I only play 2 hours a day (when my parents let me, they hate video games) this is flawed. You act like everyone under 18 is extremely immature and can't look out for themselves. You can't judge people simply based on age

I'm 14 and I've known curse words since 3rd grade. And half the people I play destiny with I know in real life. I disagree with this completely.

Wasn't this a long face post?

I wouldn't let my 10 year old play, not because of the language or the content. It's the bullies that I've not only seen myself playing but also read horror stories of. I couldn't subject him to that.

I agree with the anti social part, when I started playing destiny I hated it..but the more I played the more addicted I became. And it's my own fault, I put off so many things for this video game. My family, work, and my whole social life. I even put this game before my girlfriend, I was TRULY addicted to this game. Then I realized that it's a VIDEOGAME and here lately I haven't really been playing at all since I've done pretty much everything and acquired pretty much everything. But I firmly believe what you are saying, this game is addicting and if you don't stop it, it will control your life. I firmly believe that. Sorry if anyone thinks I'm stupid for this, it's my own fault for letting the game affect my real life situations. Just wanted to give my input. Good day guardians.

Please kys before you try to actually make a point

The game doesn't teach them bad words. I teach them bad words.
