So I'm betting right now (June 26) that the $20 price for the digital emotes package will drop.
It's all a big gimmick. My theory is they picked a price a long time ago for the cost to produce it all (TTK and content) and that was only 40 bucks or so (3$ for digital emotes). They then jacked it up to 80 for the "collectors edition" to see how many would actually pay it. They included those emotes, and "exotic class items" knowing it would lure day one players in.
Then we freaked out and voiced anger.
They came in like "heroes" and offered it separately for a still insane price......
But notice Deej said "suggested retail value".....
And now players can't understand how 3 emotes, shaders and 3 items are the same cost as the last house of wolves DLC.
now watch Bungie lower that digital emote price to 8-15 $ and look like they care and are listening...
But it's still a test to see just how much players will pay for digital nonsense. They are getting their pricing structure ready for the future.
and the next best part is anyone that STILL complains about the price the fanboys Desticle's will destroy.

the fanboys will just call them out and say
"wow you all are never happy!, Bungie did what you asked and lowered the price!"
"Hey jerks it's a good price now so buy it, get gurd, get a job, buy it"
Etc
