So from reading the above linked article, it seems that The Taken King will STILL cost Year One players $40. Not only that, but if I am reading correctly the "perks" coming with the Collector's Edition (Three emotes, weapons and Shaders) for AN ADDITIONAL $20.
So, it's going to cost Year One players 2/3 of the vanilla game's original cost, and then $20 for perks that ultimately have no effect on the game. (This is assuming the exotic Weapons are random from Year One, since duplicate weapons would more than likely be broken down for Shards).
Three words Bungie: NOT GOOD ENOUGH. The fact you are charging for what are largely arbitrary add-ons that give no depth or impact to gameplay is a SAD attempt at a shill job. You're giving starting players over $160 worth of content for the price of Vanilla Destiny. You're STILL ripping off the Year One players, and we DEMAND to be treated better.
I for one REFUSE to buy The Taken King until its MSRP comes down and STAYS DOWN. I WILL NOT pay 2/3 of the base game's MSRP for content that SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE VANILLA GAME TO BEGIN WITH. Activision, I KNOW you orchestrated this, and ANYONE that has played your other franchise licenses should know it as well, ESPECIALLY Call of Duty.

Anyone? You would seriously rather gripe over weapons than unite against this ridiculous slap in the face from Activision?
