After all the great reveals and updates of upcoming games like Fallout 4 it makes me wonder if Treyarch will be able to pull off sales figures of its previous successors especially since the game will be dropping in November the SAME MONTH as when Battlefront and Fallout 4 comes out and any other games I didn't put down.
Also after seeing some gameplay of black ops 3 at e3 it feels even more chaotic than advanced warfare (which is something I don't think a lot of people want, with cod constantly pushing more into the future especially). I think the only thing that Treyarch can bring to the table right now that no one else can reproduce as good as them is the zombies survival. What do you think

It's CoD. It will be the best thing in the world for 3 days then most of the people who bought it will come to their senses and go play something that's worth their time, or better yet return it for something better. Although, I'm curious for the zombies mode, that's probably where I would spend 99% of my time.
-
I chose no only because it is a CoD. game.Despite being dropped after Halo 5 and during the releases of FO4 and Battlefront, it will go on to sell millions upon millions of copies in it's first week which is by no means is a "flop" of a game. I personally will not be purchasing this CoD title. To me it is no longer CoD any longer. If I went into a coma back in 2011 after MW3 and, woke up this year and I asked to play the latest CoD and you put in BO3 I'd would say "Quit playing around and, put in CoD".
-
CoD always sells more copies than they did the previous year even when the last sucked. Nothing will change that.
-
Can't be as bad as advanced warfare or ghosts.
-
They will still get their sales Maybe not as much as usual due to halo 5,fallout and other games coming out but people will still buy it.
-
Dude. It's a stupid ass CoD game. Of course they will hit their sales mark. What matters is if people start returning the shit out of it weeks to months later. I will not be getting it though. Rainbow six and ghost recon are coming out with new titles so those will fill my shooter void.
-
No, it definitely won't. Too many 10-year-olds..
-
no it won't, because it's fuelled by casuals and Squeakers. it'll probably never die, and it certainly won't go back to being a good franchise.
-
Dude. I've been wishing cod would die out since mw2. And yet. Here we are. It's still pretty much the biggest fps on the market. Heck. It's pretty much THE biggest game in general. On the market. Yet I will not play it just because I don't want too.
-
I loved BO2, but the last 2 installments in the CoD franchise were major letdowns so it's up in the air for me. I'll rent it first at Redbox.
-
Anyone only play for the Zombies?
-
Looks half way decent
-
it will survive because cod is appealing to kids, which produce most of the sales. sad... cod is shit yet still survives
-
You know I'm going to say it will flop relatively to past CODs. It'll sell a bajillion copies of course. But with Fallout 4 and Battlefront competing for the same consumers it's going to be tight. Blops III has been surprisingly underwhelming. I was sure given Treyarch's record they would show something exciting.
-
As long as treyarch include zombies with their games I will continue to buy it because when it comes to zombies they are number one imo
-
ITLL FLOP ON DEEEEEZ NUTSSSS
-
Edited by Retro_Spective: 6/26/2015 5:16:03 AMNope it won't flop. They've zombies, it has a huge following. I can see the PvP getting a lot of hate from the fans. It's supposedly faster paced than AW with an even shorter TTK. The PvP could be good though, if they get the net-code right. The hardcore cod players will be the most outspoken about how it plays online. It needs localised matchmaking with dedicated servers that are ping locked. Leave skill based matchmaking out of public lobbys.
-
Has too many fans to flop.
-
If it is as bad as advanced warfare i will walk away from cod
-
I don't think so. I don't think the series has gotten quite to that point yet but it will probably get there within the next few years.
-
Well they've got a beta planned so they must have a good bit of confidence in their game.
-
No, but it may not be good as blops 1 & 2, which is sad because I really liked those games. If this game is bad, Call of Duty has lost me as a customer.
-
Eh, I think the beta will clear things up and give a decent insight into how fast the game plays. However, there are 4 major games coming out within a month of each other in Halo 5, BO3, Battlefront, and Fallout. But the game won't flop, it'll still sell well especially if the beta is good
