Am I the first to say that in the Planet Destiny Podcast they explained why past-gen wasn't stopping bungie from fixing many of Destiny's problems?

Does Planet Destiny speak for Bungie or have inside developer knowledge? Because if the answer is no to either, their opinion is pointless.
-
No, but looking at last-gen specs, you can see they would have no problem rendering more Vault space and larger fireteams. It's Bungie's decision to hold those back.
-
Pure speculation, as I pointed out.
-
Look at Defiance, a last gen game. It can do all that with ease. And it's a 6 gig download. Destiny is 20. If Defiance can do it, why can't Bungie?
-
Are you comparing two different codebases? No. You're speculating. The code ain't the same, and the demands each puts on the console isn't the same. That's the critical point you're missing.
-
I never said that. I am saying, however, that Bungie clearly has the resources to do these things. But I do see your point. It's the fact that the 360 and PS3 have the hardware to be able to do many of the things complained about in this thread is what a lot of people don't see.
-
The 360 hardware can of course handle more "slots". But the context requires is, "can it handle more slots while also auto rendering and armor - weapon perks recalculating"? They (Bungie) claimed it couldnt, and I believe them. There is no other good reason for disabling the "weapon compare" feature we used to have. The sooner we can be next gen only, the better.
