What is 20 dollars worth?
As many of you know, house of wolves alone cost $20. HOW includes shaders, ships, weapons, endgame activity, bounties, missions, and hundreds of items. Now Bungie wants me to pay $20 for 9 items that are cosmetics? I understand, I repeat I understand, that I don't have to buy the upgrade. But just like anyone else, I do want the upgrade. All I want to point out is that these nine items are not worth $20, and that they should really lower the price to about the five dollars that they are truly worth.
Edit: Its not about how much money I'm willing to spend. I don't think $20 is a lot. Also, I understand that bungie can charge what they want. I love Destiny, and bungie, but I just don't think $20 is necessary for these 9 items. It's a simple opinion is all, and that's all I'm saying. Whether I buy it or not is up to me.

Look. Are you gonna buy 20 boxes of cereal for $20 or a Filet Mignon? If you buy the Filet Mignon, you don't get it for it's ability to fill you up, you get it because it's a luxury item.

12 RepliesJust to put things into perspective...I haven't even had this game a full year yet since launch. 1) Buy Destiny vanilla for 60 with a half-assed story 2)Buy TDB for an additional 20 dollars, story starts to make sense a little 3)Buy HoW for another 20 dollars, game starts to gain variety and re-playability 3)Either buy TTK for 40 dollars or buy the legendary edition for only 60 with all of the previous included... -blam!- all the emotes and the cosmetic bullshit. I'm just salty that I would be paying 140 dollars for a full game that someone can pick up new for 60 the same day...big slap in the face to the people who have been putting money in their pockets just to try to bait new players.

I think really it's a collectors item. Bungie wants to make to keep developing this game. They're selling cosmetic items for $20 for some extra cash. It's aimed for collectors, [b]not for the average player.[/b] if you're not a collector, then -blam!- it, don't get it. Can't blame them. It's a business.

I remember paying $15 for Undead Nightmare, the zombie dlc for Red Dead Redemption. Now that was worth the money and I would've paid much more for that, so many developers put out jack squat for dlc because they know people will pay for it, sucks. Makes you wonder sometimes if these people even play games themselves and see how ridiculous their stuff is in comparison to others
