So, part 1 of 2 is up. It's essentially an apology with a little explanation of what's to come. (Here it is if you wanna read it, and I think we all should: https://www.bungie.net/en/News/News?aid=13090)
That being said, I'm a little confused by the pricing correction though so maybe my fellow guardians can help. The way I read it is that we will need to buy the taken king at $40 and, if we want the collector's stuff, we need to drop another $20. Is that correct?

As I posted in another thread, I read the whole update as "Hey... uh... sorry for saying you're a bunch of idiots that will throw money at the screen for a few emotes. Yeah. Sorry about that. I'm an ass. By the way, here's a bunch of emotes. Now throw money at the screen for them. $20 should do it." Are the really serious?! Because it sounds like they're totally messing with us. Like Deej and this other guy wrote this up and were egging each other on; "Dare me to post it?! Haha!! I'm totally gonna post it!! Haha our community are morons!! Screw em!" I won't be buying this microtransaction pack, Taken King, or anything else Bungie release from here on out. I'm sure I won't be missed, as there are plenty of kids out there whose parents will throw them the credit card to spend on dumb stuff like this. It'll sell. It'll sell well. And it will set another new precedent for the series. Something I don't want to be a part of. Maybe a lot of you aren't old enough to remember, but I remember when Bungie decided to try charging for map packs for Halo 2. The kind of thing that was given away for free on PC until that point. People complained, but it sold like hotcakes. And look at where that got us? Microtransactions in every game. An industry that just sees us as a bunch of idiots that will "Throw money at the screen" for the dumbest "content" that took them almost no effort. We'll just dig ourselves deeper.
