To start, I'm not overly offended by a $40 price tag for an expansion. Assuming the content is worthwhile.
What I am offended by is the currency conversion (or lack of) that has been occurring.
I'm based in the UK. We use a foreign currency to Bungie called Sterling or Pounds.
As it currently stands, the expansion here in digital form is a straight £39.99 in the UK. That's $62 to those in the US.
So, why is The Taken King $20 more than the US release in the UK? It sure isn't VAT (20% sales tax).
Will the release be dropping down to a more realistic price point or should those in the UK and other affected areas like Australia and the rest of Europe save our second world currencies and invest in a new game (which is pretty much the same price as the DLC).

Isn't there a lot of price gouging on games in the UK? I've heard games release at different prices, where in the states, ours typically release at $60 unless it's a special edition. I bet rock band is crazy expensive there.
