I stand corrected but, I just read two articles from GameStop one saying 7 million and another at 20 million, Forbes had an article stating 18.5. Even if it's at 20 million and you subtract it from the 80 plus million ps3's due to people upgrading that still leaves 60 million ps3 users out there.

The one that states 7 million is either outdated or just plain wrong. 80 million sold doesn't mean 80 million are still playing it. As you say take 20m off and you have 60m. Then the number of ps3 that have broken, don't get played anymore, lost, stolen etc..
