The apology is welcomed, but it is not accepted.
And I can't help but feel like you've missed the point.
Meaning I have to ask: Why are you pricing out your most loyal players from playing in the world they love?
Nor is it okay to try and guilt your angry customer base with a sob approach about how Luke smith is hurt by the anger. You put yourself out there in global media and you're damned right you better be on point.
Fans are angry. We'd have been angry even without a clumsy interview. All Bungievision's attempt at reparation has done is expand the ways in which they can squeeze the same overcharged price tag out of their player base - particularly the day one guardians who are still being entirely shafted.
And as if to emphasise how the much destiny is a poster child for corporate greed; almost in the same breath, we find out that they have signed a deal with RED BULL to slap some marketing deal all over the universe we love. Truly next level PR.
Bungie's damage control creates the illusion of improvement by offering a slightly less insulting offering than the original insult.
Even the placating year one exclusives are readily accessible to relative kinderguardians, who need only reach lvl 20 and farm some marks for vender gear, buy an exotic from xur and various other avenues. Where is the value of the 100s and 1000s of hours player?
Even forgetting that the American price raises questions of validity and that European figures are unjustifiably inflated, day one guardians who purchase TTK will have paid in the region of 2-3x more than players using TTK as their destiny entry point.
There are many posts pointing out better than I can how stand alone DLC cosmetics are being valued, incredibly, at the same cost as expansion 1 and 2.
The pricing of TTK is almost that of an entirely new game world rather than, at best, a 1/4 to 1/3 scope tack-on. Though I will applaud the sub-class and story effort additions, surely a year on we are simply reaching the game that was envisaged and promised from the get go.
Day one guardians also miss out on physical collectors editions due to there being no stand alone TTK physical collector edition. Why on earth would an individual pay out almost double the worth of the content they actually want due to the inclusion of all previous DLC and Destiny Prime. Long time players are the ones most likely to want the physical paraphernalia.
Ownership of and long term support for previously released content should not, ever, be discriminated against in this way.
We should be on this forum talking about how to make this world better. d-pad consumables assignment, weapon balances, raiding ideas. Instead, long term guardians are finding that, once again, we're having to fight tooth and nail for every single piece of positive and fair ground we can get.
Please help me out here, because I'm struggling to get it at all. More than anything, I just feel so much disappointment, deflation and under appreciation.
None of it is is fair Bungie. None of it feels right.
And you know it.

Bump from the uk where we are getting well and truly shafted
-
Bump. Though you may be better served joining me in my exodus to Fallout 4. I won't have time for Destiny come November.

Edited by Unforgiven: 6/26/2015 8:56:43 AMYou can get the Physical collectors edition - I was just able to add it to my cart http://www.gamestop.com//ps4/games/destiny-the-taken-king-collectors-edition-gamestop-exclusive/122689 I think we had some cancellations guys - or Bungie made more units available. Deej said that it was going to be sold out, but its back. Grab it while its hot if you are a hardcore Destiny fan, or don't, your choice. #pizza

Edited by uberponage: 6/26/2015 8:49:46 AMBump. Just deleted destiny. Going to look for another game to play. Keep it up guys. I've never been so disappointed in a game like this before.
-
Good post. I agree Bungie went full retard
-
Just don't buy the taken king, like the 32000 other petition signers on change.org. Bungie and activision have lost their minds. Imscared for them, really
-
A huge thank you to everyone for your likes, comments and all-round support. The community is a strong force when united and, for what it's worth, I've added a messages of thanks to the end of the original post. Keep fighting guardians. Everyone should pick a side, even if it's the wrong side.

Great post man, Bungie have gone full retard.

Bump. Solid post, mate.

Bump. still not buying any new expansions they cant fix the problems they have now. Destiny is done in about a year at best more and more people are going to leave because of their lack of dedication to their servers and their Customers. As everyone has said, if you dont like it then stop playing wether they mean it to be negative or positive. Too many other great games are out and are coming out in November. Haven't logged in, in a few days and every day gets easier not to log in. This game had potential to be one of the greatest games ever played. Im more disappointed than mad.

Edited by cuzzybubba1: 6/26/2015 2:32:05 AMEverything with these people is money, no loyalty to players who stuck through the Baron wasteland that was the original incomplete destiny. Instead of just throwing those items in for day one players the first thing that comes to mind is charging an amount that is laughable for vanity items.

Just bump

I agree latest update seems to be saying we listened to how you complained about not being able to get cosmetics so now you can pay to get them, but totally ignores the cost questions that have been raised (hopefully the part 2 update may address it). £40 for an expansion downloaded digitally is ridiculous when you consider you can get a physical copy of the Legendary edition for £56. However it gets even worse when you consider the following FULL games are also available for preorder at these prices: COD Black Ops 3 £44.00 Metal Gear Solid V £41.00 F1 2015 £40.00 The Division £44.00 All for physical copies including delivery with a guarantee the price will not go up, but that if it drops, so will the cost.
