the one sentence that really stands out is he gets no pass to being insensitive. i really feel for some of you kids when you enter the business world if you expect everything to be polite and sensitive. the gaming industry is a business, it's about money. the comment about throwing money at the screen i took to mean that the content is going to be good enough that we will want to. what he said reminds me more of what i would hear in a meeting than an interview, but, it is what it is.
i do agree the double charge policy and ability to only get certain things from a package that includes what we already have is cheesy at best. the thing is. activision has been around a LONG time, they have nearly went bankrupt on more than one occasion. many many other companies since the late 70s have come and gone. personally i don't want more ubisofts or naughty dog cookie cutters, nor do i want pay per content watered down games like advanced warfare. bethesda seems to be my fav gaming company at the moment and i really don't dislike bungie...yet. i think they are insane with killing off auto rifles but overall destiny is an addicting little game, i just would like to see this game go somewhere and get more user friendly. the PvP is broken enough that it makes quite a few people rage when then play it. the lag, hits not counting, running behind your opponents due to host advantage. with a fiber connection i can ping a server in england while living in oregon and get a 170ms ping. that's a clear disadvantage yet crucible games are matched like this. on top of it all that ping will get even worse if either connection is not high end. if i'm getting that on fiber, imagine what dsl would do over copper
