So as we all know there was some old gear that we loved back in the day before DB that we dismantled because we thought they were useless. Now sadly the only way you can reclaim this gear is by getting lucky in the Tiger Strike. So I had this idea about how we could gain access to this old gear in a new and fun way. What if there was a strike that showed up during the weekend called the Black Weekend Strike? This strike would be on par with the difficulty of a lvl 32 strike but with a random modifier thrown in (not including Nightfall because that would suck) and the rewards being the old gear from pre DB. Now this gear would still have a light level of 27 and you would still need ascendant materials to upgrade it. Dismantling this gear would only produce Ascendent materials and not Motes of Light. This gear will vary from Vanguard, Crucible or even the old faction gear. This way it is balanced, fun and gives us something new to do during the weekend (especially for those of us who just aren't that good in Trials). This event would last until the weekly reset on Tuesday. [b]Another Idea[/b] Perhaps completing the strike will give you 1 of 4 parcels: Gen1 Armor, Gen1 Weapons, DB Armor, DB Weapons. You open these parcels can it gives you a random item. Maybe the parcels could even be focused on your class so you will always get an item for your class (as opposed to something for a different class).
