Not sure if anyone's posted this but.
My choice:
Robert Jordan
"The Wheel of Time"
And not the hail mary pilot attempt craptastic Red Eagle ent. made to attempt retaining the rights to the series. Give it to HBO for the love of all things fantasy.
Edit: This can include any kind of literature. Books, comics, anything you like.

H.I.V.E it would be amazing.

Edited by Arsenicupcake: 6/26/2015 7:44:05 AMWheel of Time would be a dream come true. I would be so worried though that they wouldn't capture much of the complexity of character development. Alas, books are always better than the movies but it would still be fun to see an adaptation. I think the comic book series Transmetropolitan would be super fun as a tv series or animated show.

Insignia series by S.J. Kincaid
-
Better question: Which movie would you like adapted into a book?
-
Inheritance Cycle Done right
-
The book adaption of Finding Nemo.
-
Edited by The Domain: 6/25/2015 2:13:11 AMI want one movie to use the book as the script, that way you can't -blam!- it up
Like Percy Jackson, Enders Game, Harry potter (Yes the movies were pure shite)
-
Book to movie adaptations suck.
-
Well...they have already made many adaptions of this before, but I think it's time for a new one. I would like to see Dracula.
-
The walking dead! Oh, wait.... Oops
-
Anything Jane Austin......
-
Definitely the Republic Commando series; I want to see the Mandalorian culture done the way it should be, not the way it was portrayed in the Clone Wars, new canon be damned.
-
Legend of Drizzt series. Would be so awesome. Kinda like lord of the rings but more adult.
-
Fragment. Can't remember the author. It is about an island in the middle of the Pacific that has the hyper evolved ancestors of creatures that lived 300 million years ago. It is pretty good
-
anything H.P Lovecraft
-
Edited by Woupsea: 6/25/2015 5:07:31 PMCatch 22 already had a movie but it needs a better one Same goes for WWZ
-
I love the wheel of time. I'm only on book 4, but I would love to see these as a movie
-
A really obscure novel by Lester Del Rey called The Mysterious Planet. I've only ever seen one copy and never met anyone who's read it, but it's been my favorite book ever since I read it.

Edited by R-E-D-C-E-L-L: 6/25/2015 2:51:33 PMI'm suprised i haven't heard mention of one of the most prolific and imaginative writers in all of fantasy, Piers Anthony.
-
Edited by VII: 6/25/2015 2:51:04 PMStar Wars: The Last of the Jedi would be a good tv series maybe.
-
The crystal shard by R.A Salvatore good book
-
I always thought Digital Fortress would make a decent film... Dan Brown is a pretty good writer. He and Tom Clancy are the only two authors I care to read at this point in my life.
