The way I see it, a lot of these kids, like op, can't take a dose of their own medicine. They'll constantly make condescending comments towards Bungie and its employees, and complain to the worlds end about the game they put a massive amount of hard work into, but lose there minds when someone does it back? Cry me a river I say. On a second note, is there video or audio of the interview? It's extremely hard to tell if he was poking fun, or being condescending...

Bungie isn't paying op
or are they?
-
Absolutely lmao, they refuse to believe their hate threads, comments and complaints don't anger the company in the slightest. I hope Bungie continues to scam like this, I have a job at 16, I'll be fine just paying for DLC's myself :)
-
Exactly lol. I enjoy the game, I'll pay for new content. It's as simple as that.

You're part of the problem. Continue being a sheep and having loudmouth fatasses like Luke Smith laugh at you.
-
And I'm sorry, but you're acting as a sheep too bud. Just in the other shepherd's flock...
-
Lol. I'm not letting it hurt my wittle feewings. I'm laughing back.
-
Do what you want just don't give them your money.
-
Lol. Yeah, keep thinking you can tell people what to do with your money... Move along.

It's not the forty dollars that's the real problem to me (though personally I feel like 30 would be better based on the other did but whatever). It's the fact that to all those people that went out and bought that initial collector's edition game and to all the members who have spent so much time in the game this is sort of like saying, either fork over 90 bucks now or we don't think you're as special as those who do. The dlc is fine, the new collector's bs isn't. Does it just get then new emotes yes. But if they see a pattern of success in this then as a business that shows potential for more profit by doing this again in future titles with more exclusion, such as pay 30 for dlc but only those who pay 50 get dlc and a new sub class.
