You're a relative OG compared to me I guess, our first system was an Atari 7800. That would place you as older than me, and completely outside of the generation I'm speaking of. That would also make you highly likely to have witnessed the evolution of these kind of groupthink attacks going back to the pre-internet days of message boards! If that is indeed the case, you know it's pointless to engage in the back and forth in this discussion. You think I'm wrong, I think you're an enabler...in the end little of what we say on the internet actually matters. If you're so dissatisfied with the product then don't buy it. But now you and the other lemmings have some further proof that not everybody is afraid to call you out when you start the crybaby-with-another-petition schtick.

My reply to you? Final Fantasy A Realm Reborn. Wherein gamers bombed Square Enix's game as the trash it was and they were forced to go back and redesign the thing from the ground up and humble down for the biggest apology of their careers. And now the gamers are happy as peach pie again and gladly paying 15 a month for the content of the game. Public opinion is god, sir, it does force companies to recant their greedy policies, lest they be on every gaming aggregator site dealing with an eventual plummet of consumer confidence and an investment crisis. No company likes to deal with being a high risk investment, EA is also a perfect example of this.

  • But that FF-type situation that you've referenced doesn't actually apply here. This game isn't/wasn't THAT broken, I've been playing it since launch like many others. They've been listening to the chorus since launch, with resulting changes that have nerfed/buffed/and nerfed again entire weapon classes alongside changes to specific weapons. They made one big mistake when they rushed TDB to market and were summarily throttled by their fanbase over the lackluster raid and lack of content. They listened, and came up with patches AND a dlc that made major changes based on our feedback. Very few have even played TTK yet, but are lashing out as if bungie has already failed them once again. The real problem is that sense of entitlement that leaves so many on here feeling let down because of their preconceived notions of fairness. Let's just agree to disagree here, neither of us are going to win the internet today. (And you know how the old meme goes.....)
