Indeed - might be the easiest and quickest Nightfall I can remember. We knocked out 3 of them really quick at reset. You have to be a little careful of the Cabal with rockets but if you just concentrate on taking them out fast it is really easy. The Tank and Valus himself can be destroyed in mere seconds. On two of the runs we killed him before any of the adds came out. And I like that Variks has good armor this time. I didn't even think to check it when I was on. I passed on the chest pieces the last time since they were all strength and I had ascended better stuff already. But I'll be picking these all up. It sure beats wasting the cores on Judgment's Chances. I've gotten like 10-11 weapons (lots of duplicates and all garbage) and only 3 armor pieces from them so far.
