It was completely unenjoyable. But for difference reasons than MY RANT ABOUT VoG. I'm really bad at PvP. I always have been. That's not the games fault or the other player's faults. I was bad at PvP way back in the days of Hale:CE.
Let me preface this by saying that I am delving into PvP strictly for the purpose of attempting to complete some Exotic Bounties, Bad Juju and Thorn, specifically. Bad Juju is going okay but I feel like Thorn is going to be a nightmare for me. I wouldn't play PVP otherwise.
I tried some smaller maps and got my ass handed to me. I tried some bigger maps and got my ass handed to me. The bigger maps did allow me to hide more and snipe but I'm just really bad. I've got Up the Ante with explosive rounds but it doesn't matter. I tried my "old faithful" go to gun Another NITC with sniper range and firefly and it's completely ineffective in my hands. Suros was useless for me. Red Death only ended in my death.
I did notice some internet issues, but nothing like I've been reading. There's not a lot of teamwork from what I've noticed. I've been shot at while a teammate stood right there and then ran off. Not bitching, just an observation.
Overall, not an enjoyable experience at all, but mostly because I suck at it. The rewards were alright considering it's just PvP. I'm dreading doing the crucible part of the Thorn bounty.
TL;DR - My first experience with PvP was horrible but mostly because I suck at it.

I used to hate pvp, but now I love it. It only feels like it sucks in the beginning because you're fighting superhuman opponents. But when you get used to fighting other players and accept the fact that warlocks will murder you with self-Res and warlock bomb or a hunters gold gun or a titans fist of havoc you'll have a good time. You even get better reflexes in pve after learning to play against others.
