I have no problem with what he said. He said all his company would let him without getting in trouble for it. He may have been a bit disrespectful, but it's his job to back up his company and justify whatever gimmicks they throw at the consumers, no matter how ridiculous.
He did his job, and just because those of us who don't want to re-buy the game throw a hissy fit over a few emotes, doesn't call for a public apology.
His job was to continue building on the E3 hype and bring more attention to the game, and that's exactly what he's done.
