After reading the entire euro gamer interview and the recent Forbes magazine piece release today- hard to see bungie not addressing this soon. Apparently DeeJ has said there will be something better in store for current gamers, but they don't know what yet. They are scrambling to do damage control after this guy made them looks like corporate assholes.

READ---
An apology is not about Luke Smith, it's about bungie admitting fault. By him apologizing it means Bungie OK the apology and is apologizing trough him to a degree, while them apologizing directly would be ideal, that's not going to happen.
UPDATE ON DLC!!!!!----
Bungie has partnered with Red Bull and now an "Epic Quest" which originally os part of TTK is only accessible if you purchase a special can of Red Bull and get the access code. Otherwise you have to wait until mid-December to play it if you don't buy Red Bull.
Bungie requires Red Bull purchase for new DLC Quest
Bungie doesn't care about the consumers, only their money.
You now have to purchase 3rd party products in order to play something you will have purchased outright. Where does it end?
Edit- sorry for the grammatical error, should say HE.
Edit--
Why do all you fools keep saying "your sad to get so upset over a few emotes..."
It has absolutely nothing to do with the emotes. It has to do with the principle of respecting your consumers/clientele and not be arrogant enough to blatantly speak about such people as if they are idiots and will buy whatever shit your pushing.
This is 2015 there is no more "it's just a videogame company" or "he's just a designer"
Wrong. He is a part of a major corporate conglomerate and as such anything he says or does in the public eye (and sometimes private) it's open for judgement and criticism. That's just life today.
He gets no pass for being insensitive to his buyers.
Neither does bungie.
It isn't about emotes it's about expectations of a company to its consumers.
I guess the difference in opinions depends if your an adult with a career who understands business or if your a teen or college student. I would be pressed to say most career working adults with families would lean towards the understanding of how there was a fault committed from a business ethics standpoint.
UPDATE****
Luke Smith apologizes and TTK prices are changed....

Edited by CHICKENSQUARE: 6/24/2015 12:27:45 AMHe's not PR. He's not in Marketing. He's not part of the Budget Committee. He's not in Sales. He's not even a Community Manager. He's the -blam!-ing raid designer. I require no apology from him to make myself feel better about myself like all of these entitled children with nothing better to do than talk shit.
-
Who the hell is luke smith? And yes this is a serious question.
-
Yes and give everything available in the CE to those who bought both the first and second DLC
-
This guy is like the bagger at the grocery store he should shut his mouth and work he has no authority and he may know that the majority of us will buy it but he has to treat his consumers with respect
-
He was being straight up but I may not buy it now because he gotta say that sh*t
-
No. Forced apologies are ridiculous. And I don't care.

Edited by Deadbutt: 6/24/2015 7:01:41 AMWelcome to tonight's episode of: Why Do You Even Give A Shit!?

If he were smart, he would. Telling any fan that perceived value is worth more is dangerous.
-
They would have to apologize too.
-
If anything the community should be apologising for being entitled little shits. All he did was state the truth. If you want it, buy it.
-
-
Destiny fans have officially become the worst of all time. Wow, this is beyond ridiculous.
-
Say sorry or we will bitch and cry
-
I think it was a little blown out of proportion. He just worded his statements the wrong way. I'm willing to look past it. Why aren't you?
-
Edited by xMarthington: 6/24/2015 7:01:44 AMHow can he publicly apologize if Activision ripped out his tongue?
-
So he is going to apologize for basically Bering the only guy at bungie to state the truth OK have fun with that idea
-
What you mean Luke smith a god bro
-
For what !? You whiney little -blam!-ing babies. Smh there is no hooe for this world
-
Edited by ZetaScorpii: 6/24/2015 12:03:30 AMLuke has done a lot of good for us and this game. He gets a pass from me cause we ALL say stupid shit. BTW, collectors edition items should contain rare shit that no one else can obtain. If I want a certain Happy Meal toy without buying the entire meal at McDonalds and I have been a customer for years, am I entitled to just the toy? I'm a day one McDonalds vet tho!
-
How about we get an apology from the community for personally attacking him?
-
No, I don't want his apology
-
He's one of the dudes who designed the Vault of Glass and wants to wear asses like hats. He gets a pass from me on that alone. * I still want that new shit though, Bungie *
-
How about all you babies apologize to bungie for crying over everything they do? You all need to grow up before you "demand" an apology from anyone
-
Like it matters what he said or how he said it. Seems like most of this forum is just looking for a reason to piss on someone.
-
As we say in retail "The customer is always right"
No they're -blam!-ING NOT AT ALL
