Apparently deej has something awesome in store, let's wait until Thursday to lose our maturity okay?
I'm bored of the counters that people have thrown at me, they are starting to get aggressive. I'm gonna start to not respond as there is nothing reasonable in your ears, you just want free stuff
Please Stop for a second, let bungie have a chance, and don't add in to the hate. You have to give them time to answer us
Going to sleep:anyway I find it funny everyone's addressing how I told people not to be greedy but the picture provided.
Back for now. Anyway, Luke smith is not a pr and doesn't know how to talk to us, the people who want instant self-gratification. Deej should really be the only one doing these things. The interviewer kept asking him about the money so he had to say something(of course the emotes and throwing money at the screen isn't the smartest thing to say)
Luke Smith Should Not be answering these questions. Everyone is mad since you aren't getting cool stuff and that makes you selfish. Bungie, while practicing a bad business practice, aren't the ones to blame when if Luke smith says two bad things you guys obsess over it like crazy
Another thing: I'm now being called names for making my opinion that is neutral, and I'm doing it without attacking anyone. Good job community, you make me sick sometimes. If you have something to say that has the key words of sheep, shut up, or any curse words I'm not gonna respond
Welp that did it. People haven't seemed to discover people have other opinions so they resort to fear and prejudice. So I'm done with this post. I won't be responding, at all.

Stop getting mad at a guy who called us money whores? Nah
-
What did you expect when sharing heresy (logic) and blasphemy (common sense) on a forum that is always a single thread post from turning into the equivalent of an online lynch mob? I applaud the attempt, but it was inevitably doomed to failure...
-
I'm not upset that I'm not getting the emotes. I honestly don't care if Bungie "honors" day one players. I don't want anything for free & I couldn't care less about the prices. The only thing that makes me angry is that I'm expected to buy Destiny & it's expansions again if I want the physical/digital items. I've already bought Destiny twice due to upgrading consoles, I'm not going for a third time.
-
You are hardly being neutral about this. I don't think you actually know what neutral actually means. If you were truly neutral, you wouldn't have bothered making a post.
-
The interview was a great movie and more people should talk about it.
-
Yes. Please let's not spoil this lemmings bliss. Bungie and Activision need all of the mindless sheep they find to fund their 10 year plan for Destiny.
-
Edited by beedel: 6/23/2015 4:06:28 PMWhy are chastising everyone?? You're not my mom/dad. If you were neutral you wouldn't have posted anything at all, just by reading through your post, you sound like a blind sheep licking the heels of the oppressors.
-
I'm pretty sure people can continue talking about the interview if they want and just because Deej worded his response much better than Luke Smith doesn't necessarily make the community less ticked off with the amount of money we spent. Sorry people are calling you names.
-
you are talking about the interview right now lol
-
-
I know right? It wasn't even in James Franco's top ten movies
-
I'm feeling quite good that Deej has something in store for us Thursday so I won't be mad until I know it's bad
-
Edited by RammerJammer327: 6/23/2015 2:27:54 PMseeing a lot of bungie fan boys up in heeerrrr So Luke Smith makes himself look like a complete azz hat, and disrespects the players. Then all of sudden it's announced that day 1 players are getting "better" stuff. Fanboys be like: "See! I told you Bungie would take care of us! You guys are so stupid for not believing!" In reality... If Luke doesn't embarrass the company then day 1 gamers would be getting shit....zero
-
It's really not that big of a deal he made a mistake. Most people on here just want something to argue about
-
Have you read that interview yet? its great! (its actually really boring, dont bother imo)
-
Edited by cardsfan_87: 6/23/2015 3:53:23 PMUm , no. It raised legitimate concerns that go beyond the normal forum banter about ghally, thorn nerfs, and xur. Bungie's feelings about its playerbase is now evident. All the perks that year one players are getting now are in direct response to this interview. We were never gonna get whatever it is before this debacle, and if you believe otherwise, you're naive.
-
Shut up you mindless fanboy. You are the person Luke is making fun of, mindless sheep.
-
So your answer is to make a thread about it? -blam!-ing dumb man.
-
Sheep
-
Luke Smith is a fat ass
-
I'm offended at the people who are offended at the people offended by being offended!

I see your point. And I think since the collective voices have been heard that it's time to chill a bit and wait for The weekly update. But I pose this: if not this topic then what? What do we collectively discuss? The lack of additions to the top requested list on the feedback forum? The lack of forum activity by the community manager? The fact that a bug introduced in the Winters Run strike is still there? The fact that Atheon still teleports players inside a bubble after 8 months? The fact that Crota still refuses to take a knee and the sword drops through the floor? Optional matchmaking? Or is it the fact that they want us to shell out $140 for more of these types of permanent bugs?

You're actually trying to reason with these morons? Wow, brave man. Unfortunately it's a hopeless exercise. Seems that around here its some kind of necessity to over react to every tiny little insignificant thing that happens. Especially when you don't have all the facts. Then there's the other half of the community (probably the same ones that require hash tags to tell them how they should feel about posts) that will just blindly follow suit, complain and claim that they're entitled to this, that and the next thing because apparently it's the thing to do. Would be nice to see people actually thinking for themselves and consider all the facts before kicking off but this isn't the place it's gonna happen I'm afraid.

While some may be gunning for free stuff, I think people are more upset with Luke's deliverance, as his words made it sound like the player base will throw money at them anyway, regardless of what they do. Customers don't want to be told that they're viewed as nothing more than talking wallets, even if that is the case for some of them. That's what I got from the interview, though. As for me, as soon as I get the money, I'm pre-ordering just the Taken King DLC. I can live without the newcomer exclusives, just like I can do without the Nepal shader/emblems, and the Blacksmith shader. TL;DR: It's not the exclusive content that bugs me, it's Luke's attitude in that interview.

its a good movie, seth rogen nails it everytime

Edited by ManBearPigIets: 6/23/2015 2:45:36 PMHe's also legally not able to answer questions on behalf of another company (Activision). It would almost assuredly be a breach of contract, not to mention get the company sued for answering on their behalf even if it wasn't. It's basic PR, nothing new. That 'interviewer' knew all of this (or if he didn't, he can't really call himself a journalist without doing even basic research), and yet repeatedly asked him the same question 30 times in a row that he knew he was not able to speak on, all while refusing to let him talk about the game which he came to talk about (and which they undoubtedly lied about and said that's what they would be talking about). That's called sensationalist journalism, and there's a reason in the real world that complete lack of integrity would get you relegated to a tabloid, anyone who isn't either ignorant or just plain stupid would be disgusted by it.
