6 RepliesLove how he thinks by his statement that we don't know the value of what we haven't seen. And will throw money at them for it. EMOTES are worthless. They have ZERO functionality. So he thinks we will throw money at Bungie for what's WORTHLESS. I don't care if Bungie added TWERKING and golf claps. Eurogamer got it right.

Unless you are new then you just need to buy a can of red bull to get the case of red bull. After that when you get the ultimate achievement of diabetes and a heart attack, then you will get the super mega pack of emotes. Luke Smith obviously isn't a gamer or hasn't been for a very long time. If he actually is then it just goes to show how far out of sync game developers are to their audience. So deluded its unreal. Yeah you've got all the fundamentals in place for a great game but its far from that yet. We gave money in advance and despite our disappointment with lack of content we stuck by it. It is because of Destiny that i will never pre-order another game again because of the backtracking and removal of the raid from DLC2. The majority of the loyal fanbase still feels like we are owed something. This interview takes the cake though. This may have been the final push I needed to move on from Destiny. Its a shame cause like I said I think it could grow into something amazing but for all the money we have spent already, it should already be amazing. I for one won't be purchasing DLC3 unless the attitude shown to its fanbase changes. Even then i'll be waiting till it is released so I can make my own judgment on what the content is worth. This is not a case of the price, £40 is no issue. This is about principle.

1 ReplyI bought an Xbox shortly after receiving a PS2 many Christmases ago because of Halo. I waited in line at midnight for Halo 2. I bought the Legendary edition of H3 at midnight. I bought Reach day one. I pre-ordered H4 (i know it's by 343). I pre-ordered the Ghost Edition for Destiny on 360 because that's all that I could find. Then I re-bought the basic game when I got my XBONE, because my character transferred over. The point is: Halo/Bungie games are all I've really played for the past ~12 years. But for the past year, I've felt like Bungie no longer cares about their Xbox fans. And now, it feels like they really don't care about their year one Xbox fans. So, F*CK it. I'm out. It's not about emotes, or price specifically. It's about how it no longer feels like the community matters to Bungie.

This was officially the reason I decided to hold off on taken king. There has been alot of inappropriate treatment of the consumer on behalf of bungie and activision but it has definitely been a learning experience. Deleted the game today and DAMN it felt good, so liberating but a small part of meis just so disappointing.

9 RepliesHe apologized, but let's be honest, a lot of us would. This community has always demanded more content. I don't know when it happened but somewhere along the way people just started expecting everything for free. I get that a lot of you are young jobless people, but those that have a job and choose gaming as their hobby, have to accept that everything costs money. The way I see it, if you can't afford $20 -$100 a year for your hobby, you need to find a different one. And if gaming is what you want, then play the free to play stuff. Every single line of code, and or every hour of time put into development of a game, costs money. If you want companies to continue creating new games, there has to be profit to be made. Kind of sad, but it's just how it works.
