Luke Smith Killed Destiny

For those yet to read Bungie's view on their player base, read ahead: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-06-22-destiny-the-taken-king-director-defends-40-expansion-price-tag Repeatedly telling us to purchase the content we already have bought was just silly to begin with, telling us it was 'good value' was even sillier. However the absolute arrogance in this interview made me cringe every time he answered a question. This mindset probably isn't across the board, but it's been instilled into him from within the company. Bungie look awful after this, and I can imagine a lot of preorders will be getting cancelled. Shambles.

  • Bungie needs to seriously consider their marketing and pr teams comments and ideology. It may only sound like a partly 20,40 extra dollars but it's the message you send to these loyal fans who continue to play this game. Yeah we love this game and we overlook some terrible blunders and bugs this game has historically had because it is a great game and there's no other big titles out for us to throw time at. But when you subject your loyal fan base to your "we'll throw money at the screen" remarks we're likely to find entertainment elsewhere. You honestly think we are going to all swallow our pride and let a video game developer make such remarks and just do nothing? Foolish, additionally if you think this game has sustained this long as a result of a "newer player base" that's unrealistic. The staunch defenders at this game are the ones who continuously play and have continually recommended it to their friends. The reviews on this game are subpar and with all the additional games coming out you think you can abuse this loyal fab base? Kind of remarkable that you made such remarks, I understand the business world. There was a team in place who designed the cost and you were one individual being asked some seriously tough questions that you struggled to answer with tact. But man, you dropped the ball...
