Correlation does not equal causation. Just because some people who were vegans were smarter than some others who weren't does not mean vegans are smarter. If person A eats an apple while person B doesn't. Person A later gets cancer. Do apples cause cancer? No they don't. That just correlation, not causation.

 • Ha! Looks like you've contradicted yourself. The causation vs coronation idea is a fact. The fact that you said it was just his opinion is not only an extremely immature contradictory statement but also proves that you, a vegan, are less intelligent then this normal omnivorous person.

 • That's... That's not an opinion. First of all, if we take the entire American populous that is not vegan, and the entire American populous that is, who do you think has more people? Obviously, the ones that are not vegan. While there are idiots in both groups, the animal product consuming population will likely have more. Both sides may have geniuses, but the animal product consumers will be more watered down because of the amount of stupidity in the pool of people. It is way more likely the average I.Q will be higher in the vegan group solely because of this.

 • You totally missed the part where he explained that what you just said is not a valid argument because it relies on a logical fallacy, specifically the correlation =/= causation fallacy. I hope you aren't really this incompetent.

 • No, I'm putting out that a smaller amount of people are vegans, so it makes sense that there are less idiots in the group. If meat is and animal product is banned, then ALL the idiots that are in the animal product consuming group (Along with the intelligent ones, but the average is watered down by the idiots) Then the nation's intelligence wouldn't change.

 • Yes, because you're just being ignorant to the fact that veganism tends to have a more intelligent group of people, thus veganism signifying an increase in intellectual capacities. Hence, facts about Vegans being smarter.
veganism tends to have a more intelligent group of people, thus veganism signifying an increase in intellectual capacities.
A) link to studies showing this would be appreciated B) because some vegans happened to score higher on some standardized tests does not mean that being a vegan makes you smarter. C) there are different forms of intelligence. D) I'm pretty sure having a healthy balanced diet containing items from every food group is just better in almost every way. E) Humans are built to eat meat. That's how we evolved. That's just how we work as a species.

 • Burden of proof bud. Show where you got this and how all my above points are invalid and I'll admit that I'm wrong. Until you can back up your points, they aren't valid.

 • So should I accept this as you making all this up? You should have evidence at the ready in case someone questions you. Or at the very least send me to something to help you out.

 •
It is not at all clear to me why the difference in childhood intelligence between vegetarians and meat eaters is so much larger and stronger in the United Kingdom than in the United States.
This indicates an unknown variable. That means its, as of now, only a correlation not a cause. There is something unique to UK. If I had to make a guess, it relates them having a better education system than us.
