Okay so, I'm trying to do the usual Sunday night Crota run on all three of my characters. I join a party I find on the forum on my 34 hunter, beat the Deathsingers and Crota first time with me running sword, no big deal, some kid gets a gjally that's a 33 with 200 hours played, okay cool standard stuff.(my 18 thunderlords and 0 gjally drops think that's legit go RNG)Then I hop onto my 34 warlock to try and beat Crota again.....oh my goodness. 1 hour and 4 different parties later it still hasn't happened. After joining and recruiting kids from the forum I have encountered the following types of players
1- have a hunter and don't know how to run a sword
2- have a hunter but are awful at running sword (two guys I played with didn't know to use blink strike)
3- kids that shoot Crota with a 300 damage sniper/machine gun?!?! WTF
4- one kid that insisted he could run sword as a warlock....he died 4 times in a row before landing even 1 hit
5- a kid that actually thought running sword on a hunter could be done using a gunslinger?!?
6- a random squeaker that started killing the Knights and spawning wizards when sword runner was hitting Crota
And finally my personal favourite
7- the one kid that joined my game on a 31 pretending to be a "34 Titan with gjally" who we carried all the way to the end before he got killed by a thrall and we wiped.
RANT OVER. VERY SALTY.
But seriously, my heart is palpitating after that....how on earth on players on this game still so awful?! I just don't understand?
-
I see what you did there listed 7 rants. Bungie's favorite number.
-
Then teach them. Don't just complain that they suck, try and make them not suck. You were a newbie once too
-
Get good and find one friend to beat him. You definitely don't need a hunter and if your 34 you can practically take Croat down with what ever you want so quit Bitchin and acting like you know something because you obviously do t know shit
-
How about you try helping them instead of ripping on them? The sword can be run by any class. I have run it on my Hunter, my Titan, and my Warlock, and it is easy. These are likely new players. Give them some slack.
-
#5 is wrong. Check out the video where a 32 gunslinger soloed hard crota. Before HoW.
-
Lol not all hunters can be a tryhard steriotype class where you have to be a mlg swordbearer and i solo crota as gunslinger 5x easier
10/10 ur a skrubsicle
-
Im a 34 warlock and i ran sword 1 time doing crota on hard. I died a few times but i got than hang of it and bitch slapped crota. It was a good night. Teach them. Dont yell at them. Thats all im saying.
-
Technically, if you did the same position in a raid everytime, only 1/6 of destiny players will be able to run sword.
-
You're a bad player if you need a Hunter to run sword. Or if you have to be a Bladedancer. It can be done with any class or subclass.

Edited by Doc_VersusRNG: 6/21/2015 11:10:52 PMHow are players this arrogant? Some people don't have the time to put into this game as others. Cut people some slack. How good were you 3 weeks in? Probably not very. Have some perspective. I'm a day one player that has done VOG and crota 2x each and each took about 1.5 hours . If you're patient and teach them then they can be better and run it faster and more efficient each time in.
-
My usual squad runs it Tuesday night 3 times, haven't ran it in 2 weeks though (vacations and surgery for one guy). I'm starting to get an itch to run but I'm afraid to run with randoms anymore lol.
-
Lol no clue how people are that bad
-
People still think they need a Hunter to run sword?? C'mon now.
-
I've beat crota a bunch and still suck at sword bearer. Lol. I'll admit to that. Lol. But I hear you. I'm fine if someone isn't good. It'll make things a little more challenging but I like that. I just hate liers saying they are OP and so amazing then suck so bad. They talk all this shit about other players but then suck big donkey nuggets.
-
Just because someone has put tremendous time into the game, and have eventually collected the best gear, doesn't mean they are good at the game.
-
All subclasses (hard) crota swording isn't hard even at 32. It took a little more finesse then. Now it's easy ass all hell.
-
Run crota sword on all classes.
-
Well...I haven't run CE yet so I would be one who didn't know you must have a blink strike bladedancer running sword. Sorry you had a bad time but if "new to the raid types", like me don't have some coaching, we're never going to get better. With that said, there are some pretty funny stories I've read regarding noobs and vets alike, making some poor decisions. Guilty of talibanning myself with a RPG and a random wall.
-
That's cuz all of the good (old school) players quit this game by now. But I'm still here. Check me. I can prove I'm good.
-
Um, number 5 is correct, you can run sword as a gunslinger, I run sword on all 3 and bladedancer has a tiny advantage because of blink strike. Tiny.
-
I ideally encounter decent people on lfg, but your experience sound awful.
-
One word for you.... NERD. Carry on smartly.
-
Randoms are like this on most games haha, doesn't just apply to Destiny.
-
I know what you mean, I've met day one players who still can't handle the relic. People don't put dedication or practice to the raids. They all think their gally will be enough.

Edited by Kovathos: 6/21/2015 10:43:57 PM*shrug* I've watched my brother do some pretty stupid things and he's played since day one. Most recent example, he attempted to punch two full health vandals when he was low on health rather than use the shotgun he was currently holding...
