[b]Murph and Minerva lead a small force of rebels towards the location of Ginger's Anti-Material Rifle stash. They are under the guise of Minerva's cloaking field as they draw near to the stash.[/b]
[Murph] "It should be around here."
[Squad Leader Alpha (Rebel)] "Keep your eyes open men. Ignus were defending this area not too long ago."

*A British, blonde, partially mechanical woman yells at the troops* "We need help in this cave! There are still rebels trapped inside!"

[Rebels] "Oh god... Thank you. We thought we'd be stuck in there forever!" [Rebel Squad Leader] "Any chance you can help carry the guns?" *he points to a crate anti-material rifles* [Minerva (The British girl)] "Hurry, who knows how soon the ignus will send reinforcements."

[spoiler]Ginger doesn't know how the Ignus operate. They've been here for a while, so they're perfectly capable of simply teleporting stuff in. Vehicular convoys are scarce, if they're even deployed at all, and that's only if they're cut off from the Collective somehow.[/spoiler]

*Its quiet, it begins to rain.*

[Minerva] "It almost seems too quiet..." [Murph] "Doesn't matter. Keep searching. Maybe there is a cave or base entrance where they're being stored."

A black blur zips from one to the other, and as it collides with a soldier caught in the middle— seemingly [i]phasing through him—[/i] the blur flashes orange and moves on to the other portal. The soldier has been shredded to bits, and the portals disappear as suddenly as they appeared.[/b]

[Murph] "Holy... What the hell was that..?" [Minerva, messing with an arm pad] "Cloak is still up... They shouldn't be able to see us.." [Murph] "Maybe it was an accident.. Some sort of teleportation? I don't like this at all." [Squad Leader Alpha] "Pick up the pace men. I don't want us to lose anyone else." *he picks up the dead man's dog tags* *The team searches more quickly for the rifle storage*

[b]Alarms begin blaring from an indiscernible source, and about twelve more portals open, haphazardly placed, around the team.[/b]

[spoiler]Cloaks won't help you here, bud.[/spoiler] [b]More of the blurs dash from portal to portal in a seemingly random pattern. Within five seconds, two more are eviscerated by the shadowy figures.[/b]

[Murph] "SHOOT THE PORTALS!" *The rebels open fire*

[b]As the shooting begins, the blurs stop darting, hidden within the portals.[/b]

[Squad Leader Alpha] "Jones! KEEP FIRING! Harper! SET THE COVER!" *A rebel stops firing and sets up four posts in a square around the group* *hardlight begins to link the electronic posts* *the group gets in cover while trying to suppress the portals*

[b]Three more open above the other portals. A blur exits one and swings an orange glow at one of the devices, before bouncing back to a different portal.[/b]

[Murph] "Prepping suit EMP, just hold them off a bit longer!" *The troops continue to fire*
