You sound like you had a rough childhood. How about you let the kid voice his opinion, without trying to shoot him down. All he is asking is for people to chill out a bit.

He can voice his opinion sure, but to me at least it sounds very narrow minded and one sided so I disagree with OP. But yes you're right, everyone is entitled to their own personal opinion
