Alright, so far, here is my analysis of some of the new races in the Taken King DLC. Comment below if you have anything to add!
Taken Fallen:
Trolls (Vandals): As of now, trolls have been seen to give out some sort of shield for their allies, similar to a ward of dawn.
Taken Hive:
Thanes (Ogres): Right now, nothing seems to be different about the thanes and Ogres.
Summoners (Wizards): summoners seem to have the ability to create shadowy thralls at will.
Lurks (Thralls): Lurks move similarly to cursed thralls, though they have the ability to suddenly teleport, similar to captains.
Taken Vex:
Taken Goblin: These new enemies seem to support each other, one giving a shield to the other. This support seems to apply to all new taken.
Taken Cabal:
Gremlins (Psions): The gremlins can be seen to be able to split off and multiply into other gremlins if they aren't cut off soon.
Taken phalanx: These enemies now instead of using their shield as well... A shield, they shoot a blast of energy from them, however they do not use it to block anymore.
Taken Centurions: These enemies are the ones that seem to use a giant axe to swing at opponents. They move slower than knights, but look like they deal much more damage and take more hits.
Taken Colossi: These look the most different, looking more hive-like. Instead of using a chain gun, they use a big spire-like gun that shoots similar to an ogre eye blast.
