My family and I are staying in Texas for the next month. What interesting or fun things are there to do in Texas? We're near Houston.

What's so great about dumb old stupid Texas?

Move out of Texas.

Edited by Ellen: 6/20/2015 9:19:01 PMCasinos in Louisiana (they have pretty cool concerts with notable bands.) Edit: 2 hrs from Houston.
-
If you're near Houston you should check out Galveston. It's not the cleanest beach but it's the closest one to you. I prefer South Padre over Galveston any day though.

Edited by GhastlyGunter: 6/20/2015 7:15:45 PMHouston is cool. I live just outside it. Austin and San Antonio are the most fun though. In Houston i recommend Live music (lots of this. House of blues, etc.) The food- great restaurants Visit NASA Kemah Boardwalk Shlitterbahn Galveston. Not Houston but an hour away haha There isn't as much to do as there is in other cities, but its a cool place. Really better for business than entertainment

go to Round Rock and get donuts they are huge
-
Fúck bitches!!!!! Get money!!!!!!!

6 Flags is really fun. Or, if you're more into the slower side of a vacation, go around and sample every steak that every restaurant has to offer. You won't get fat because you'll be sweating it all off just driving from place to place.

Get flooded

I hear Texas has some large swimming pools.
-
I live in the DFW area (Denton) but Texas has lots of great things to do! Go to 6 six flags and then go eat BBQ.
We're near Houston.
Bummer. Can't help you with that one. Now if you get to Dallas/Fort Worth I'd say visit the Texas School Book Repository - Dealy Plaza, and H3 Ranch bar & grill in the Fort Worth historic stock yards. Undeniably THE BEST STEAK I have ever had in my entire life. I was down there about 10 years ago to visit a friend and go to a NASCAR race at the Texas Motor Speedway.

There's a Schlitter Bon in Texas. It's kind of ironic. Out stereotype is that we live in a desert full of cacti, yet we have one of the biggest water parks in the world.

Edited by R: 6/20/2015 4:41:41 AMHouston? Not a whole lot, I live there, San Antonio, go to Six Flags, it's loads of fun, and if you go to houston, I recommend trying Spanky's, their pizza and wings are so good. Kemah Boardwalk is also fun and it's near houston, they have some good crawfish and gator bites (gator nuggets) there, forgot the name of the place, it was "the shack" or something, it's small Edit: The crawfish place is called Crazy Allen's Swamp Shack

..what did you say about Texas?
-
See if everything is bigger there.
-
Nothing. Legal.
