RAID: Why is no one talking about this...
So this second DLC came with zero Raid... When we expressed concern & complained about this Bungie said "ohh look, a shiny horde mode" & their little fan club here said "[b]jusht you guysh wait, Sheres ghonna be anosher Raid later for fwee. Bungie ish sho awshome"[/b]
Yeah, no new raid & horde mode kinda sucks the balls big time (ToO yeah laggggggggg)... So now with the Lame King dropping soon & no mention of an [b]interim[/b] raid, are we to assume that we have once again bait & switched??
I really liked this game when it first dropped. But seeing all that was "promised" with the original destiny (trailers, marketing snipets, etc.) & how we are just now getting it with this second DLC, I cannot see how anyone is willing to drop their money before anything is proven to us by Bungie... For that matter, why continue feeding the troll that is Bungie?
Don't disappoint guardians, I expect some hate for this post so let's do this!!
[b]Edit: (for science)[/b] This entire post goes to show that people read the title & the bold words... Most of you missed the main point of this post & man is it funny. [i]season pass marketing said TdB raid & HoW Raid, HoW drops & we are told "no raid is coming till later in the year"... Thus why should we trust them to deliver on everything they are saying is gonna be in TTK? I mean they have it in the user agreement that they can change whatever they want whenever they want. So let's [b]wait to buy TTK till after release[/b][/i]

Never promised a raid in how and they said a raid later this year but no mention of free raid.

1 ReplyI am also upset that they did not live up to the promise of a new raid with HOW. But lets assume that they did not promise a raid with HOW. Would you then like the game and play it? I sure would, and will play next expansion too. Just watched bunch of E3 vids, and not one other game peaked my interest. So yeah I'll stick with Bungie for the time to come.

1 ReplyActually, read this. There are many unused armor pieces that were supposed to drop in the last 2 raids. Stronger different colored armor pieces. There are also 3 more Tumbler sparrows and many ghost shells that have yet to be obtainable. I was expecting a VoG and Crota 34 or 35 raid by now with these items to drop, yet they remain unobtainable. I can wait on the next raid if they at least give us something to do for the next coming months.

2 RepliesFirst of all, pre release trailers, E3 demos or anything shown before a game releases is not a "promise" of anything. Every game changes during development, sometimes right up until it has gone gold and been sent off for disc manufacturing. If you are still judging a game based on what you see in pre release trailers and marketing hype, then it's your own fault when you are disappointed. Second, Bungie actually DID say that they were working on a raid to release later this year, but they did not soecidit what it was or when and they never said anything about it being free. It's probably safe to assume that the raid they were talking about is the Oryx raid in The Taken King, and that we will not be receiving another raid after that in 2015.

3 RepliesHoW was a flop.....no one can deny this. Everything about it sucked. PoE is a glorified strike, ToO is a gifted Iron Banner, and the additional missions were a joke except for VoG one..... That was kind of cool. Bungie's decision to not make a raid was a horrible idea. Honestly, the only good thing about HoW was reforging weapons. We all went glimmer / weapon part broke doin that. And Bungie, those PoE guns dropped after lvl35 are awful. How could you create garbage like that after creating guns like VoC, fatebringer, black hammer, etc?

A bait and switch would mean that they told us there would be a raid. They never once said that since they announced there wouldn't be one... An interim raid? Seriously that's your pissed about when all the taken king stuff looks fantastic. Stop complaining about asinine shit

They clearly said "there will be no raid in house of wolves, one will be released later this year". It's your fault for being a gullible idiot and believe that means they will give you a free one later this year. No raid in house of wolves only means NO RAID IN HOUSE OF WOLVES. You have to be a complete moron to interpret that any other way. If they said something like "there will be no raid upon release of the house of wolves, but it will be coming out later this year" you'd have a valid point, but it wasn't even remotely close to that.

As usual all of the 12 year olds and idiots automatically concluded that the raid would be gifted as opposed to being part of a paid future release. TTK is coming "later this year". TTK has a raid. Bungie's statement was 100% accurate. End of story.

Anyone who thought there would be a free raid between HoW and TTK was an idiot. Someone started that rumor and the mindless sheep latched on to it. That said, I didn't really see any promotional materials claiming a new raid for HoW once we started to see actual details. I expected one for sure, but every link or image that mentioned one was really old/outdated or from an unofficial leak. Based on how PoE has been so far, I would have preferred a raid. PoE isn't really that much worse than CE though. It sounds like there is a lot of effort being put into the new raid to bring it along the level of VoG. If so, it could be great and worth the wait. If it is more like CE, it will be a huge letdown.

Those that don't follow this closely will have no idea what I'm talking about. That's what they want. Mindless cod boys. I haven't even signed in since ESO. Didn't like HoW. Gonna wait till TTK is released to see what's up. I bought a raid with HoW. Was told they can change content at any time before release. So I learned my lesson. Release it then I will decide to buy it or not. Sorry for the rant. Just feel kinda screwed.
