$40 is a reasonable price for an expansion. (It's not a dlc it's basically like adding half a game to an old game)
But not giving options to actually get collectors stuff without dishing out $80? So much for caring about your loyal players.

This. 40$ is more or less reasonable. Sure, I think they could do 20. And I feel that for what they are doing right now (horrible weapon balance, PvP focus etc, you name it) they shouldn't deserve more than 20$. But the point is that I really like destiny. So I'll be getting the 40$ dlc without that exclusive stuff. My silent little protest will be that I don't preorder it.
