I'm guessing you don't have any younger siblings. How could you possibly support behavior like this to anyone, especially someone who is clearly young and just wants to enjoy himself?

  • Actually not rated. But that doesn't mean anything goes. Depending on what was said or message sent. Harassment of a minor (if proven) can bring enforcement by local gov't. Many western gov't are bringing in very tough anti bullying laws. To target people who target legal minors. Whether or not the minor should be in a certain place or not. The laws are changing for online interactions. So i 'd be very wary of sending an obscene message to anyone.

I'd be wary of putting an 11 year old on a game for teens and up.

  • Yes , no disagreement their. But at the end of the day. A minor has certain protections under the law. That we as adults don't have. 1being, protection against harassment/bullying from legal adults. People really need to take a step back and look at the potential trouble they could get in. New laws can force ISP providers to turn over ip addresses and names associated with that account. Sony and microsoft are not immune.

  • No one cares enough to do this. It would never go to trial. All anyone would get is a slap on the wrist

  • The no one cares attitude is not the case. People in the Usa and other western countries need to pay attention to who they send messages to. Laws are changing and they are changing fast.

  • Actually yes it is .As long as your country is part of INTERPOL . Then yes. My country can enforce laws broken here by people elsewhere.

  • Seriously? That's a complete -blam!-ing cop out. There's NO reason at all for this guy to act this way. I can't believe you'd support that.

  • Well I don't think he supports it, its just that world can be a very cruel place and sending an innocent kid into that world without any kind of preparation can cause these kind of things to happen. There isn't anything you can do, you have no control over what someone will or won't do or say on an online game. What you do have control over however, is the ability to talk to your brother and let him know that there are a lot of ignorant people in this world and show him how to deal with those types of experiences if they were to ever arise again.

  • It's not a cop out, it's life. Maybe your brother isn't old enough to be online anyway.

  •
It's not a cop out, it's life. Maybe your brother isn't old enough to be online anyway.
Maybe your not old enough to be on forums. Common curtosey can be found no where in you. If done in real life it's just a front, because when you gain the anonimity of the internet the real you comes out. People like you are a plague on the forums. I understand your point, I really do. Shit happens in life. But normal people don't rub salt in the open wound. At least acknowledge that it sucks what happened, but your cold response is void of any care or sympathy. Which ultimately makes your point less impactful.

  • Online interaction not rated by the ESRB. If you're any kind of sensible adult you know how online gaming is. He left his brother to the wolves.
