So this guy was a complete asshole to my little brother...
JUST NOW MY BROTHER BEAT SKOLAS AGAIN-AND GOT REWARDS THIS TIME!
My 11 year old brother came to me in tears just now. He had just beaten Skolas with two other guys and IMMEDIATELY got kicked right after Skolas went down. Then, this guy invited his friend to get the rewards, and started being a complete dick to my little brother for no reason. My brother said they called him "really mean names," and I frankly don't want to think about what that could mean.
Why do people do this? I don't understand. I don't care if it's the Internet and people can be dickheads over anonymity, this is horrible. My brother shouldn't come to me crying because of some dickhead loser kicking him from the treasure room.

Edit 2: bro just told me he was kicked right after Skolas went down, so he didn't even get the drops. I had gotten that part wrong, but I edited it now
Edit 3: Someone researched this guy and apparently he's the Xbox Live version of KirmitTHEFrog, he kicks everyone and invites his friends after completing activities. I can't post gamertags, but if you could do me the favor of finding my bro's Skolas match from earlier today and report that guy, it'd be great
Edit 4: I can't believe this community. The kid who glitched and got his characters deleted got nothing but support, yet my brother who beat Skolas, got kicked AND cursed at by adults is being told he shouldn't have been doing that. -blam!-ing really guys? I'm done with this site. Yeah, I should've monitored it better, I'm doing that from now on, but seriously?! I doubt many of you have kids or younger siblings. Smh

I don't see what your brother was doing that people are saying he shouldn't have been doing. Playing with rag tag fireteams is normal if that's the case and to the person that kicked your brother: he's probably some suck up who can't really do anything and has to get other people to help his 'friends'

12 RepliesThe guys replying to this about age are idiots. Your brother was cheated and I hope the person who did it gets a quick and well deserved ban. After starting a boss in the raids or after finishing the 5th round in PoE, kicking of fire team members should be disabled. If somebody on hard crota or something wasn't doing their job then you could wipe and kick them before getting on crystal. Same with Atheon by doing it before he spawns. But once that boss fight is initiated it should be disabled for this exact reason. In PoE it should be disabled in general. There's no reason you should be kicked when you did the work. Even if the kid was less than 13 or something, he did the fight and therefore deserves his rewards for doing so.

You can't even invite someone to the match unless everyone wipes (unless they changed it recently to where you can invite anyone, anytime.) I'm going to have to say something else probably happened. They couldn't have invited a friend until after Skolas was dead or them wiping after your brother was kicked.

Sorry that happened. One thing my friends always do is make sure they are fireteam leader when playing with people they don't know personally. I would say report and Bungie should make it so no one an be kicked when Skolas is lower than 75% health. And no one can be invited during Skolas if you have kicked someone before hand. It makes it so you can't do a lot of hard work and get nothing.

As the oldest of 5 I can say that I would be really pissed if that happened to any of my younger siblings. Just keep a calm head and hope for the best.

Being an online game you have to realize people can act how they want. Most of the time. Tell him to find some players he can trust. Sorry to hear that though. Reasons why people are dicks online is prob BC they are shit. They have a crap of a life. I know he's young but its just a game and words mean nothing coming from low life's. If it was me I'd help my bro kill skolas again and cheer him up....and prob report the players to Xbox or something.

1 ReplyThat sucks mate. And the attitude of some of the community members also sucks. But don't let experiences like this reflect on the community as a whole. I didn't play any raids until a few months ago because I was expecting immature buttholes likes this, based on my experience when I first started using chat during Halo3 PVP matches. (Also based on some of the nasty comments I've read in these forums.) But I levelled as far as I could after TDB, and decided to try playing Crota's End to get the armor and reach the level cap. I found a match using LFG, and braced myself.... And was pleasantly surprised. And in my experience since, the majority of the community seem to be great people. I myself have wondered about the way people behave in the forums, and the best I can figure is that the small percentage of nasty and immature community members are unfortunately also some of the most vocal. So don't let this unfortunate incident ruin the game and the community for you, or your brother. I recommend friending anyone you have fun playing with, it makes it easier to find people to play with, knowing they won't wreck the experience for you. Please feel free to add me if you like (your brother too). My mate and I are always happy to play with anyone, regardless of age, skill or experience, and help them through if necessary. As long as they are there to have a good time and get along. My tag is BRAV0echoN0VA note; its BRAV(zero)echoN(zero)VA I play on Xbone by the way, can't recall whether you mentioned what platform you are on. If you aren't, sorry I can't help you, lol. ok this is wrong but It teaches him the world is not a fun place, I don't think they should've kicked him from skolas, someone should've kick him (if at all) at something way easier like hard atheon or something at least somewhere theres a checkpoint and he doesn't have to go through like 20+ minutes of useless rounds Bungie needs to ban PoSs like these

All i have to say is make sure he hosts next time or play with friends. Stuff like this happens all the time and the people that do it deserve to burn in hell but you gotta take precautions to this type of thing
