JUST NOW MY BROTHER BEAT SKOLAS AGAIN-AND GOT REWARDS THIS TIME!
My 11 year old brother came to me in tears just now. He had just beaten Skolas with two other guys and IMMEDIATELY got kicked right after Skolas went down. Then, this guy invited his friend to get the rewards, and started being a complete dick to my little brother for no reason. My brother said they called him "really mean names," and I frankly don't want to think about what that could mean.
Why do people do this? I don't understand. I don't care if it's the Internet and people can be dickheads over anonymity, this is horrible. My brother shouldn't come to me crying because of some dickhead loser kicking him from the treasure room.
Edit: to those who don't believe me, check my bro's history "Donald Doge"
Edit 2: bro just told me he was kicked right after Skolas went down, so he didn't even get the drops. I had gotten that part wrong, but I edited it now
Edit 3: Someone researched this guy and apparently he's the Xbox Live version of KirmitTHEFrog, he kicks everyone and invites his friends after completing activities. I can't post gamertags, but if you could do me the favor of finding my bro's Skolas match from earlier today and report that guy, it'd be great
Edit 4: I can't believe this community. The kid who glitched and got his characters deleted got nothing but support, yet my brother who beat Skolas, got kicked AND cursed at by adults is being told he shouldn't have been doing that. -blam!-ing really guys? I'm done with this site. Yeah, I should've monitored it better, I'm doing that from now on, but seriously?! I doubt many of you have kids or younger siblings. Smh

That's why I dont let my 8yr old use a mic or get into premades. He only does crucible and matchmaking only and yes i do check on him to make sure he doesn't act like an idiot, other peeps deserve to have fun in groups too.
-
Supervise his gaming sessions or find him another game to play. If he still wants to play this game alone take his mic. Only ways I see.
-
Hate to say it, but his game is rated T for a reason. I hope those jerks get what's coming for them.
-
You're right; your brother shouldn't "come crying to you because of some dickhead loser". Use this opportunity to toughen him up.
-
Why is your 11 year old brother even using a headset is the real question here...
-
This is why I dont allow my eleven year old son join fire teams. He likes to play crucible as well but he gets tea bagged sometimes and he doesn't understand that some people are just assholes. This will be the reason I quit letting him play destiny. Pretty sad really.
-
You cannot invite some one into the game at that stage. It will tell tge person you are trying tk invite that the activity is almost over. So im calling bullshittss but nice try.
-
This may not have been the case for your brother. But my experience playing with younger kids are that "some" of them are annoying as -blam!- and deserve to be booted. Im sure everyone gets that random squeeker in a raid that is terrible at the game and wont shut the -blam!- up and dont tell me you wouldnt boot and find someone else.

Let's lighten up the thread with me!A Baby Servitor! *cute servitor noises* *cute servitor noises intensify*

11 year old needs training of online lol back then when i get kicked i called them a dick and left
lol cod screwed me up
-
An 11 year old shouldn't be playing any online multiplayer game. You people are part of the problem. Go cry somewhere else.
-
Ummmm u can't join a game when they are at the treasure room sooo he couldn't have invited his friend but yea that's a real dick move
-
Simple solution. Give your brother up for adoption, to a real family who actually watches their children .
-
It says there were 5 players in the team how did that happen?
-
T is for teens. When an underage kid plays "T" rated games, T is for tears. And all those kiddies watching R rated movies... R is for REKT.
-
Game is rated T, he shouldn't be playing.
-
Game is rated T for teen. And it says ESRB rating may change during online play. Yeah they are dicks but that's life. It's not gonna always be mommy and daddy holding your hand.

Edited by m12112112: 6/16/2015 9:48:28 PMClearly you were in the right by allowing your kid brother to communicate with strangers over mic on the internet. I mean stuff can never go wrong with that so no problem there.. Also most of the player fanbase in Destiny totally love squeakers and do not hold a blanket disdain for them, so again there was nothing that could go wrong.. It's very puzzling, how come this happened. please check with your kid brother - maybe the stranger will offer to level up his toons by shareplay as means of an apology..
Yes, an attempt at satire., just so you know. Get some speakers if you must
Game is rated teens...11 year olds are not teens...hmm
-
honestly he didn't miss much lol. the only stuff worth getting drops right when you beat him or not at all. the treasure room has NOTHING good in it
-
11 year olds shouldn't be playing this game. //13 is the target audience. Duh.
-
You brother shouldn't be playing the game anyway. He's too young for it.
-
Pretty shity but what kind of parent lets there 11 year old play an online game exposing them potentially to the scum of the earth...
-
Life is a bitch then you die.
-
Sadly, unless you choose to 'ban' the kid from ever using the internet, he'll run into them. There's nothing anyone can do about it. Fact of the matter is there are good guys and bad guys, those jumped-up pricks get kicks from hurting others, it's pathetic and can probably 'dish out' insults but cannot take them. My advice - set up privacy settings before he gets on the game.

Why would you let your brother play Destiny in the first place? He's only 11, this game is not rated for that age. Your fault, now you complaing about how he cried, he wouldnt have cried if you didnt allow him to play this game. Therefore, your fault.
