JUST NOW MY BROTHER BEAT SKOLAS AGAIN-AND GOT REWARDS THIS TIME!
My 11 year old brother came to me in tears just now. He had just beaten Skolas with two other guys and IMMEDIATELY got kicked right after Skolas went down. Then, this guy invited his friend to get the rewards, and started being a complete dick to my little brother for no reason. My brother said they called him "really mean names," and I frankly don't want to think about what that could mean.
Why do people do this? I don't understand. I don't care if it's the Internet and people can be dickheads over anonymity, this is horrible. My brother shouldn't come to me crying because of some dickhead loser kicking him from the treasure room.
Edit: to those who don't believe me, check my bro's history "Donald Doge"
Edit 2: bro just told me he was kicked right after Skolas went down, so he didn't even get the drops. I had gotten that part wrong, but I edited it now
Edit 3: Someone researched this guy and apparently he's the Xbox Live version of KirmitTHEFrog, he kicks everyone and invites his friends after completing activities. I can't post gamertags, but if you could do me the favor of finding my bro's Skolas match from earlier today and report that guy, it'd be great
Edit 4: I can't believe this community. The kid who glitched and got his characters deleted got nothing but support, yet my brother who beat Skolas, got kicked AND cursed at by adults is being told he shouldn't have been doing that. -blam!-ing really guys? I'm done with this site. Yeah, I should've monitored it better, I'm doing that from now on, but seriously?! I doubt many of you have kids or younger siblings. Smh

Dont play with randoms unless your hosting & you're not a complete asshole.
-
Report him
-
Don't worry .. sooner or later he will do that to someone who will find him in real life and they will beat some sense into him.
-
Better to be the person getting kicked because I'm scared for the person who is doing the kicking because he probably has a really low self esteem and ego in rl
-
If only bungie would do something oh wait its bungie : / srry for what happened to your brother though. :(
-
Man sorry don't he have friends his own age to play with online that he can trust? And tell him not everyone is like that give him my reguards.
-
Bro. I feel his pain. I am twelve and when I played COD first time two years ago, I took shit like that all the time. "Shut that squeaker up!" So yeah, learn from experience and tell him that dicks are out there. (I don't recommend using that word)
-
It is wrong and Bungie should create some sort of way to prevent kicking after Skolas dies. At the same time the game is rated T and an 11 year old should not be playing online exposed to all the horrible people the Internet has to offer. You know the kind of people that play these games. It is your responsibility as an older sibling to try to protect him until he's old enough to handle the realities of the world.
-
You maybe seeing this as a general consensus, but 11 really is too young to be playing online games like this... But seeing as we cannot and will not control how you and yours handle your own business, I would recommend helping your little brother find a group of players who will not be utter asshats and if possible are a little closer to his age. This will ensure that he has a positive experience and won't have to deal with scum again... But please report the bastard and hopefully the other asshats of destiny will take notice and not be asshats anymore... Have a good day... :)
-
You know what I don't in a situation like this, I report the players for hacking, have fun with your ban buddy :)
-
Not trying to be a dick, but maybe he shouldn't be playing destiny if he's 11 and cries when he gets kicked
-
A lot of people have "internet balls" and will do crap because they can be anonymous but wouldn't dare if they knew people could bring about real consequences against them. It's unfortunate but you brother needs to learn there are both good and bad people in the world that range in the intensity of their positive or negative behavior. Sucks he is hurting but it is a minor loss in the grand scheme of things and better to learn this now so he can be on guard in the future.

Edited by allocateindicate: 6/17/2015 3:46:58 AMI just recommend that you look out for him, and posting this, to me, sounds like you are, but since both of you are brothers, just try to be a part of a Party Chat unless both of you are sharing a system, then in that case, talk to the other fireteam members in the future before he starts any activity with randoms, especially if you get them off the fourms. Technically, your brother is not suppose to play Destiny, but, we have parents buying their young (Let's say five years old) kids Call of Duty, so, I can't blame you on that, since Destiny is not that violent, to me anyways. Also, hitting the View/Select Button lets you see the other players Gamertags, so I just recommend blocking and reporting them, and report them multiple times if you want, but it's only necessary to do it once. If your brother has friends his age that plays Destiny on the same system, please, get those people instead. Some people are willing to help your brother out in Destiny and that's very respectful of them to do so get them instead, just warn them if your brother has some triggers of outbursts and anger, as that would help out especially. I wouldn't mind playing with you or your brother, or both, but since you're Xbox Users, you're shit out of luck if you want me. PlayStation User, so sorry.

Hopefully he reported those bitches!! There shouldn't even be a boot option after the mission complete screen.
-
If he's on the PS4 I'll grab a clan mate and run Prison of Elders with him. He's welcome to join my clan too man, we'll help little man get his rewards.

Edited by DARKSIDE1983: 6/17/2015 2:29:41 AMDid you/he report the players? Bungie does take action on these things if they find it serious enough. Reporting is the best bet in this situation. If your little brother needs help and he is on the xbox1 system, myself and someone from my clan will help him. Sorry this happened to him but the best thing we can do as honest players is report them to someone with the power to do something about it so this doesn't happen to someone else. For those on here saying things like "that's life" are part of the problem. Online gaming should be a place where everyone can have fun regardless of age. This type of thing needs to stop now, that is all.
-
Simple solution. Be the fireteam leader. I never join other fireteams and I have never kicked anyone from my team..raid, trials, poe. Deuche bags exist bro. Especially in online gaming. Just turn the tables. For POE just find 2 people from LFG. Problem solved.

Man that sucks. Im not going to be like everyone else and say,"well its rated T" probably because im only 12 . But what i will say is that your brother needs to toughen up. Or maybe thats how an 11 year old should act. I wouldn't know because im messed up lol :p
-
Checked the history and it seems nobody in the game finished it, so you're brother must be confused about what happened, or you confused what he told you. Further evidence against the story: everybody that participated in the game had kills -- this wouldn't be possible if somebody managed to get into the game after Skolas was killed (as unlikely as that is already). You probably should've checked the history yourself before making a thread about how outraged you are.
-
You can only invite ppl at the beginning of fight not when it is started. Nice try
-
He's to young to play destiny and I would kick him to bloody sqeakers go play Marvel Lego or something.
-
Maybe your 11 year old bro should go play some games rated E for everyone. Dont think those would bring him to tears
-
Hey gayde
-
I'm pretty sure this is bullshit... They may have kicked him but if it was to bring in a friend then they are dumb as -blam!-. The good stuff from the 35 drops off of the Skolas kill... The treasure room is mediocre at best. Also you can kill yourselves to get people into poe in the late stages, but I'm pretty sure you can't do it in the treasure room? So yeah... Either this story is all lies, or the idiots who kicked your brother are incredibly stupid.

Good god people suck.
