Nope. I'm not overly excited for the nightstalker class. I've been a Hunter since beta. Hunters always seemed to be the rogue lone wolf in the frontier type to me. Now our subclass is rooted in supporting titans and warlocks so they can be the hero. F**k that. I'm not the roadie. I'm the the bell boy carrying thier bags.
No. I'm a true hunter. A lone wolf. I may team up to achieve a mutual goal (raid, etc) but when the threat is over, I go back out into the wild... ALONE!!!
Nightstalkers are domesticated hunters. Go be the titans and warlocks pet if you want, count me out.

Edited by Raksis The Great: 6/23/2015 3:38:44 PMOn the wolf thing, Wolves work in packs, the lone wolf isn't a "rouge" it's just that retarded wolf that the pack doesn't like so they are shunned or killed. Shunned or killed? What's your fate?

Selfish Hunters be like: ^^^
-
Hunter is love. Hunter is life.
-
You are not forced by any means to use it and if you dont have something positive to say then dont say anything
-
Nice copy/paste.
-
There is a perk where you can fire two explosive arrows after the main shadowshot
-
Go with proximity tether if you like to kill without help
-
I always thought it made sense. I mean "hunter" and we get a bow to snare our targets and trap like grenades. it makes perfect sense to me .3. plus if you dont want to help out others, just miss lol
-
Yeah I hope I never play a game with him
-
Not entirely so. Imagine this. You outmanned and outgunned. You pop your super ensnarring multiple enemies. Throw a smoke bomb to blind them whilst snarred. You then pull out ice breaker pop one guy and combustion kills others still tethered. Trust me man. In every single game I've played I always go hunter and pick bow or sniper. This will suit you just you wait.

Hunters are nothing. They're not smarter than warlocks and not better than Titans in the fielz. When it actually comes down to hunting something important the warlocks do it better
-
Warlock's are also better tanks than Titans!
-
Not really. Idc about your ram
-
It's all how you use it they say bladedance isn't a support class but I know how to use it as one
-
I say it is!

Edited by Advenence: 6/18/2015 1:53:07 AMHunters are just about useless on their own in PvE compared to any other class on their own. So the only "lone wolf" that makes sense is in PvP. That being said, all the "support" features of warlocks and titans you speak of probably the warlock sunsinger and the titan bubble. These supers are capable of dominating games offensively just as well as the golden gun and blade dancer and they do not entail any abilities that directly kill the enemy. You do not have to directly kill an enemy with your super just to stick out or be a lone wolf. There are far more ways to dominate. If anything, the nightstalker class makes the often thought of as usless hunters stick out even more and builds their in game reputation across Destiny
-
Other people have already said this but wolves run in packs. The lone wolf is usually the one that is too dumb to stay with the group.
-
Or shunned from the pack
-
Remind me not to let you into my Weapons of Light next time. K?
-
My sunsinger will run right past him too when he revives to save the others :)
-
Wolves are a pack hunter working together to take down larger prey....Lone wolves are cast out, forced to fend on their own....There is very little beyond romantic notions to make lone wolves seem appealing...Just my thoughts.

I think you'll dip into the night stalker waters whether you want to or not. At the very least you'll complete the quest to unlock the subclass (it may be intertwined to main story arc) All I can say is experience the game in full I never had a hunter until a few months ago and now I'm going to have to remake a titan cause you know, fire Thor

Edited by Sanctus Michael: 6/17/2015 1:58:30 AMYou are a 1000% correct. No matter how I feel, I'm a completionist and if I have a 3rd class, it needs to be maxed, just as the other 2 are. I may use it after that, maybe not. Perhaps in the time I spend leveling it up, I'll learn to appreciate it. I have no idea.
-
I feel like it can be both solo and team. Depends on how you play.
-
I see your point, but the nightstalker class seems to me like a very classic Rouge style role which is not really offensive or defensive, but is more of a specialist with abilities designed to maximize a certain tactical advantage (agility in this case). Frankly, I'm pretty frickin stoked about it. I'm hoping it will do things like suspend players abilities. You are more than welcome to continue playing a gunslinger or Bladedancer. I will need someone to put all the titans and warlocks out of their misery.
