Bungie,
"The Ultimate Destiny Experience"....is only found on Playstation.
How disappointing and unethical to charge Xbox users the same price. The slap of "ultimate" and "only" stings.
I don't care about the price. I don't even really care about the items. I do care that shunning is an acceptable practice from a company I care a lot about, in a game I have invested so much into.
With nearly every exotic in the game x3, for x3 Hunters (Nothing to brag about, more of an introduction to a video game addiction therapy session), I have played a lot, 1,500+ hours now.
This certainly isn't a post about "refuse to buy..." or that nonsense. Nor will it make any difference.
But I care enough to utilize the only tool I have and that is this feedback forum.
Though small in the grand scheme of things, my contribution and loyalty to your products have been constant throughout the years. Where is your acknowledgement of an entire player-base like myself?
Truly a bummer, please take the knife in my back and give it to the other player-base.
Don't worry I paid for it.

Edit: For those of you mentioning CoD, Halo, Final Fantasy 7 remake etc. That is not this discussion. This is in regards to Destiny, a game on both platforms. As I said above the practice here is the foundation of my frustration. For those saying "that's business" you should know better. Some issues, like this, should be disputed and addressed. To not provide feedback is simply fueling future unethical behavior.
Edit 2: For those stating a one year exclusive timeframe, will you please link your source? I have yet to find any such confirmation for this new content nor the previous exclusives.

Edited by Endless Spheres: 6/17/2015 12:27:11 AMIf you're going to argue the malpractice of timed exclusivity for game content you can't JUST include Destiny. You don't get to cherry pick. Yes, we get to include the Call of Duty franchise, Batman: Arkham Knight, Final Fantasy, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and so on, because they all fall under the same roof. There shouldn't be exclusivity for ANYTHING with games. But there is, because developers need the money, and just because you said that I should know better, I'll say it anyway. For now, it's just business. Until the consumers actively protest against exclusivity, pre-ordering, Day One DLC, known shippables, publishers and corporate businesses are going to keep doing it, and will keep doing it, because most consumers just say "Your fault for buying the wrong system."
-
I hear you, which is why I will be skipping the The Taken King and Destiny all together. I'm no fanboy, I do plan to get a PS4 in the next couple of months, but will stay clear of ANY games with 1 year exclusive DLC. No matter what system it is on. This practice should be abolished, and not supported by any true gamer. I have always owned all four systems (includes PC), and have been a Bungie fan since the Myth. So it's pretty sad to see this coming from them. 3 to 6 months is tolerable, but a freaking year? Again! I paid full price for the game plus two expansion packs and have yet to get the original exclusive stuff that was on the PS4. I'm not doing this again. When I get PS4, I'm not rebuying the game + expansion packs again or putting in all that time.... sorry I'm done.

The only way to make ourselves heard by Bungie and activision is to not buy TTK without our money, they don't get paid. Do not preorder TTK and make them know that the community needs to be heard.
-
By doing this they screwed us both. Not being to implement the exclusive strikes, missions, weapons, and maps in weekly, daily, Xur, and Crucible events RNG pool. All Bungie cares about is money. 🔔 SHAME 🔔 SHAME 🔔 SHAME 🔔 SHAME 🔔 SHAME 🔔 SHAME 🔔 SHAME 🔔 SHAME 🔔 SHAME 🔔 SHAME 🔔 SHAME 🔔 SHAME 🔔 SHAME 🔔 SHAME 🔔 SHAME 🔔 SHAME

Its technically a timed exclusive. You will be getting the Hawkmoon and other Year 1 exclusives when Taken King releases. Unfortunately, new exclusives roll out then too. Developers do this all the time. Its not "I'm paying the same for less," Sony is just paying more for more content early.
-
Confirmed, Sony wins e3
-
You could say you're paying more for less content. Instead, you're getting a regular amount of content. Sony payed for Playstation players to get extra. They foot the bill.
-
PS users will never get Halo, Titanfall, or any other great game. There's your exclusives. Honestly, all we got was a few new weapons (only one is worth having), strikes (more grind than fun), and crucible maps (who even plays crucible anyways?)
-
Playstation players will never get Halo, thats one of the exclusives in xbox. I dont mind about few exclusive items or strikes, thats not that big of a deal.
-
Boo hoo. We all knew the exclusive stuff would be on ps4 at launch, and you chose to buy destiny for the Xbox one.
-
Edited by Acidity: 6/16/2015 5:51:18 PMThat's just the way it is. You've known for a while (or at least you should of) that destiny will always have to exclusives to PS. Getting moody won't help, just enjoy the game you've got.

If you don't care, why even make a post?

Edited by xLucidxRequiemx: 6/17/2015 2:57:54 AMevery edition gets a year one emblem, shader, and sparrow. It's called VIP rewards. As long as you have a Lvl 30 by August and play TTK by February 2016 http://www.destinythegame.com/taken-king/wheretobuy Then click "Learn more about VIP rewards" And we will get hawkmoon Monte Carlo etc this September. The only thing your missing out from PS exclusives is the "jade rabbit" exotic scout and a vex strike and map. You will get all those sept 2016
-
Yeah, this exclusivity thing bothers me too. I have put more time into this game than any other, EVER, and it stings to get left out because you're on the wrong platform. It's like a bad relationship where you never get back what you put in. This is also a game that takes pride in breaking with tradition. Too bad they couldn't just stick to principles and tell both consoles that they weren't for sale.
-
Send me a friend request man those ps guys need to suck it up about halo and cod
-
shut up, you have halo
-
If you look up the interview with deej at e3 for ign today, he says that xbox gets all the past ps exclusives on launch day for taken king. There is new stuff that will now be exclusive for anothet yr, but hawkmoon, monte carlo, ect are going to be on xbox in sept.
-
Atleast your getting the game scrub. At the shity rate Xbox is sold, u might NOT get destiny two lol.
-
I think it's more the point of why do Xbox users have to pay the same price for less content? If it was a play station only exclusive that's fair enough, it's only available on that platform, you can't buy it on any other platform but selling the game at a set price for both but one having more content is just ridiculous. Xbox users are probably going to have to pay for the PS timed exclusives if they ever get them that is.
-
The thing is the released that PS would get added things before the game even launched. To quote them "to make up for PlayStation not having access to halo due to our contract with Xbox". In other words this is really old news. Also almost no games reward people for being loyal customers there are a few bit very few.
-
Yea now you know how Playstation has felt for years with Call of Duty. Sucks don't it. Also Gaybox doesn't even have Call of Duty anymore so you might as well switch to PS4
-
Mainly just the time frame, it should be 1 month, not 1 year. PS users love to bring up CoD, yet they wait a month, and we wait a year.
-
Yeah on one hand it is what you paid for, but on the other it is a terrible practice by companies.
