I understand the laws of nature that rules the gaming market in all its glories. I do, really. A little bit of money here, a partnership over there and bang, success is a step closer. Give them something they want, keep them busy, make other stuff hard to get and the environment for repetition is complete. They have the ball and a tiny little hole to throw it in, they will try thousand times for sure.
When I first started playing Destiny it sucked, I saw no objective and the repetition tired me. But then I found some people to play with and the game started to make sense. I'm afraid this feeling is slowly coming back and today it speeded up a lot more.
in the very beginning I've heard that PlayStation 4 users got exclusive content (for the first year or forever, it doesn't matter anymore) then OK, it happens. Companies found out that partnerships are important and with that they can improve and maximize earnings with some strategy and a luck guess.
I've watched today's E3 press conference and saw that again PlayStation users will get more exclusive content. Why? I'm not saying the strategy is not valid but is frustrating the fact that in this entirely article the gaming experience was not even mentioned. Bungie just gave up on distributing the same experience on all platforms. This second exclusive content is totally unnecessary.
As a guy that really enjoyed the way Destiny improved the online gaming experience and 1500 hours of playing later I feel extremely frustrated with it. I feel that I'm playing something that I will never entirely understand. May be a shadder, an exotic, a strike, a weapon or gear, if the Xbox players will never get this entirely, so for what am I playing?
I'm always saying to my friends when we are playing and things don't go as we expected and we have to repeat several times: dude, if this is stressing you, you should considerate stop playing for a while, because this is not what games supposed to do.
And this is what you guys are doing, again. Sad to hear your news from today. I was really excited about the The Taken King, but no more. Actually I now wishing Destiny was a PS4 exclusive, so everyone would have the opportunity to take all it can from Destiny, with no restrictions at all, instead of giving to the other platforms just fragments of a bigger light.
Stay in the light,
Cheers.

And we are all insane for doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results!
