How are people so good at sniping?!
I consider myself a decent sniper, but when I go into Crucible, I'm wrecked beyond belief. There are guys who headshot me the very second they scope in. It's -blam!-ing ridiculous! I don't understand how they do it!
EDIT: A lot of people are saying that they get their skill from Halo. However, I actually snipe very well in Halo, but not-so-well in Destiny.

I am not really sure how you can do well sniping in Halo, but not Destiny because the aim assist is off the charts in Destiny. I recommend using ambush scope, hidden hand, snapshot, unflinching on something like a Low Grade Humility (I didn't look to see what sniper you were currently using so you might have one that's better) if you are having a difficult time sniping. Also when you say Halo, you aren't talking about Halo 4 right? If so, that doesn't count.

Chances are a lot of those players have have a sniper with the ambush SLH1 scopes makes it extremely easy to handle the weapon when aimed down the sight

The way I practice is in patrol cosmodrome with my praedyth's revenge which is my PVP go to sniper.

1 ReplyIf you can snipe in Halo, but not Destiny - I recommend you try out different scopes and practice quick scoping on patrol and in story missions. You'll get it back.

1 ReplySniping really is about skill level. Some people have been doing it for years and it's just muscle memory. I'm not talking about the scrubs that just hide somewhere looking to pick someone off. I'm talking about a player who can switch to sniper and immediately drop you kind of sniper.

Could be that you are encountering the final round perk on the snipers that mean if they hit you anywhere with the final bullet in the round they will one hit you.

Lot of poopy players use final round..u can shoot in foot at full health and shield and kill not if u here the ice breaker go off and taggin people that's more skilled a lot of these so called "good snipers" use final round..

Just takes practice. In every game I play I prefer sniper/ ranged class. It's just came with time. My favorite sniper is NLB

2 RepliesThey are taking advantage of the aim assist on snipers. Some snipers such as efrideet's spear actually have higher aim assist then others. These are not true snipers. They are abusing an invisible stat.

I'm a sniper god on this game . And yes it all came from halo 2-4 lol halo snipers are above all. I'm good enough at it to even know when the other sniper is a halo sniper from his skill set. Quick scope no scope click scope . I use my sniper even against shot guns . In closed off rooms in just as deadly as I am from a distance . I goto sniper before my primary even when I'm one shot. Nothing make a blade dancer as mad as being head shot from a foot away in mid Mêlée. Lol or a shoulder charge titan about to hit you already in his charge attack and you just full click zoom and head shot him before you even get the scope up lol I love it.
