Does no one on this forum just play multiple games? You don't have to be dedicated to one game lol

Well, that and my competitive nature not allowing me to be ok with sucking at a particular game. I've learned that as an adult I have a choice - Play all the games my heart desires and not invest enough time to be very good at any of them or focus my energy on the game(s) I like the most and spend the time necessary to at least be proficient. Madden is a great example of this. I stopped playing Madden because I either had to spend so much of my time labbing and practicing or accept that I was going to get the shit kicked out of me whenever I play other people. It just wasn't worth the time it took to be a good player any more. Having picked up ESO myself, I will say that I am probably going to going to split my time somewhat evenly between ESO and Destiny. But, this works only because Destiny offers multiple options for short form gaming. I can hop on for 30 minutes and do a few strikes, or a few control matches during the week when I have less time available. Then on the weekends, when it's more likely I can sit on the couch for a few hours in one block of time, I will use that to play ESO. But the point is that I generally have to dedicate myself to a very short list of games(probably 3 max) if I want to enjoy myself.
