I also would not have my people sit on top of a machine that can alter reality. Meddling with time is not wise, you might change something only to realize what you had before is better than the alternative. This landlord's agreement as you call it is little more than thinly veiled Imperialism. Such things will not be tolerated by the people. They had enough of it in the 20th, 21st, and 22nd centuries."
