So... I've been away for a while from the game and never played much crucible before. Started getting into it last week and we struggling pretty bad- middle of the pack most games. I was getting destroyed by Thorn constantly and other weapons too, though, because like I said I hadn't played and was rusty as hell.
So I got mad and went and knocked out my thorn bounty which had been sitting since near day 1.
Went back into the crucible after I unlocked DoT to give my first experience with it the full experience and see what all the fuss is about an see if it's really so OP or if I was just one of the many who got killed by it because of lack of skill.
I had 20+ kills in 3/5 games and meet had under a 1.2 k/d.....
Much admit I love the gun- it didn't make me less rusty- months away from the game I still need to get my skills up.
But it did instantly make me a predator in the crucible and killing came at ease even though my reflexes aren't honed nor is my aim yet.
So while I think it's badass usin the gun- I can only imagine how much destruction I'll wreak once I'm back to my A game- which leads me to believe this gun is def on it's way to a nerf and I now understand all the complaints about it.
When I was on too of my game I could go toe to toe with anyone but here I am completely off my game and out of sync and I used a weapon that instantly made me vault back to the top of leaderboards despite my actual skill not having the time to improve. That to me says there is something wrong.
I'll keep using the fun because it slays men like moths, because I feel I better enjoy the cheese while it lasts because there's no way it doesn't get addressed.
