What Happened?
Edit: And for all of those asking, yes ESO is out now.
-
They are for two completely different playstyles. I love FPS and I love RPG, and yes Destiny is a bit of both, but when it comes to an RPG, Bethesda knows what they're doing. One is Elder Scrolls, and Destiny is something different. I'm on a Destiny kick. When that ends I'll try ESO. Games don't HAVE to beat each other, they are all creative and fun in their own way.
-
it didn't kill Destiny, just beat it up a bit - but every game listed in E3 next week will kill Destiny. But Bungie have a plan for that, it's called Destiny 2 - bigger, better, less grind, more story, more weapons, more players, weekly download content, new Raid every month etc etc etc (or at least, that will be what they tell us).
-
I have been enjoying ESO. I just hate that I keep holding square to interact when I should be pressing X.
-
You know it is possible to play more than one game lmao, and calling elder scrolls bunny foofoo shit? I'm gonna assume you're making fun of people cuz they play a certain type of game lol grow up, if you don't play a game because you think it's soft and people will make fun of you, hate to break it to you but you probably have image issues and need to build up some confidence or change the people you hangout with lmfao sad sad people

Well on xbox one the servers are crap atm. My game gets hard crashes that send me to the dashboard, at one point even erased about an hour of work. Also the lag is real in cities and what not. I looked up online and their forums says if it's lagging it's the system not their servers, but how can that be the case my hard drive isn't nearly full my xone is brand new. Would they intentionally have the settings too high for the Xbox to handle? I would hope not.
-
Just started playing ESO today. Was skeptical as I played the alpha on PC a year or so ago and it was awful. But so far I am enjoying it on XB1 and I am sure it will pull me away from destiny for a while.
-
Playing both Destiny and ESO...sky still hasnt fallen. Shocker.
-
Edited by Vox Mortuis: 6/13/2015 3:34:36 PMI also thought evolve, halo MCC, bloodborne, etc, were going to kill destiny. What's the point of a post like this when you knew what the outcome would be.
-
I am waiting for The Division, Fallout 4, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Battlefront 3. Those games will kill it for me personally.
-
ESO did kill Destiny for a lot of people.
-
We'll probably because ESO was a Terrible game on the PC and it HAD a subscription fee. In other words no one cared enough about the game when it released on console. The game is garbage anyway.
-
What happened? 90% of the people on my Friends List went from Destiny to ESO and haven't returned. We'll see if ESO holds on to them in the long run but, for now, ESO did kill Destiny on my end.
-
Ouch you haven't tried ESO have you? But like most ill be back for the Comet DLC.
-
I know during peek hours log in on the North America servers place you in a que to log in due to such a high volume of log ins at once on their. Mega server :)
-
The only game with a chance to "kill" destiny is fallout 4
-
ESO killed itself with the failed PC launch. The console is a last ditch effort to salvage it. Don't worry it's not going to be a threat to any game in another week or so.
-
I need to check it out, see what it's all about
-
It's actually really funny seeing the desticles on here, still in denial about the fact that Destiny is already dead. Ever wonder why Activision was so quick to brag about the Destiny community early on, and give specifics about the active number of players when Destiny was new? "Over 3 million daily players!" And now, they only report the total number of registered users since launch. I wonder why that is? LOL
-
I've invested a lot of time with destiny. I can't afford to have to put in that much work grinding it out with another RPG/MMO.
-
ESO has been out for a year. It was never going to kill anything.
-
I heard it's had a lot of server issues since launch
-
I'm waiting for the division and uncharted. It seems like most devs have become very lazy with new releases, hence destiny is still in my ps.
-
Oh it did for me
-
Nothing can kill destiny
-
It did
-
I dunno what eso is. Never heard of it
