So now that Bungie has finally listened to us and given us ability to ascend old gear, its kind of heartbreaking that a lot of old gear we had to discard for the sake of new gear due to the limited storage space.
I for one was sad to see Fair and Square, my favorite pulse rifle turn to materials when I had no more room for it due to all the exotics and vault gear that had higher damage than it, now that you can both upgrade damage and Pulse Rifles were given a solid spot on the weapon hierarchy I miss it and wish I had it back.
I also kind of miss the aesthetics of the old gear like Vanth Orcus and ISTANU-GNT.
It feels like where every other company tries to expand their gear and item selection, Bungie is hellbent on restricting theirs, not only would these items staying in the game give more diversity in how we outfit our guardians, but they would also not be a complete loss of artistic effort that went into designing and modeling these pieces of gear.
(changed title felt it was a bit misleading)

It would be cool if they had a vendor like Xur that would come every weekend and sell of old items and gear

Aaaaand reforge ready.

And be able to get old perks when reforging because all the new perks suck

Is thinking this exactly. Thanks for posting it. Fully support this.

Bump! It makes zero sense to have an expansion that expands not, but REPLACES AND RECYCLES!!! I love this game and I'm a bit of a collector in it. I had to dismantle many old favorite guns of mine (of course BEFORE they informed us of ascension) like The Swarm, Coiled Hiss, and Venation. I'm at a loss and no true gain. Help me understand Bungie/Activision. Surely more foresight was put into this. Surely...???
