9-0 ----> 0-3 aka Pay it Forward
Challenge to Trials experts, if you go 9-0 this weekend after you're done with your trip to the lighthouse run a 0-3 card just to help people out. You'll get loads of messages of thanks and there's no massive need for you to get another flawless run. Last week I had a team who played hide and seek against us when we found them we got a free kill. Was equally as fun as some of the best competitive matches I've played.

Also instead of just gifting people the win why not post flawless, play three games of hide and seek.

That would be forcing them to take a handout even if they want it earned. It was an immense, overwhelming sense of achievement when I saw the sun at the lighthouse for the first time. I would not want to deprive someone of that hard earned, battle tested glory.

9 RepliesHahaha.......this is so funny. I knew that once the first weeks of Trials happened , that the player base would fall away. Most people who play PvE a lot, like myself found Trials too frustrating after a few games and moved on. That's why week after week people who went flawless are having a more difficult time. This will continue until the small group who play it who in fact are really good are left fighting each other with a 50 percent chance of winning. Maybe this is what Bungle wanted, but with the bone throwing of Elimination mode, they see the problem as well.

I've been paying it forward on my warlock and I'll be doing it again if I make the lighthouse again. I don't just play hide n seek but I'll only use grenades and melees or the eidolon ally.

4 RepliesI have mixed feelings on this. Would I like to head to the Lighthouse? Sure. Do I want it handed to me like some sort of charity event so I can then flock to the forums and brag about how awesome I am that I made it there? Not so much, and you know that at least 25% of the -blam!-ers will do it, too. I kinda like the fact that the elitists make another run at it after they've done their three for the week. It makes people like me with a mediocre skill set play a little better every time. My FT and I learn from our mistakes. If a proverbial "mudhole" is stomped in our collective rear ends, then next time maybe we won't go that way, or use that tactic. You're not going to get better at something by having it handed to you. Losing is a part of life that should be embraced and utilized to make yourself better, both in the game, and IRL.

Dude no people need to earn it! Yes screw the guys who go 9-0 and come back just to ruin other peoples chances, but no handouts! I have gone 9-0 and I am completely willing to help people out, but no handouts thats weak and lazy.

9 RepliesHaha. Just had a hilarious thought. The thought of hide and seek being an actual game mode. Three players are unable to use weapons and are stealthed regardless of class. The other team has 30-45 seconds to find you in a given round. Then, swap. Maybe the seeking team could be in control of Gorgons from VoG.

I understand the purpose of this and I enyoy helping people, but I will not intentionally lose. I will help the people in my fireteam get there.

It's fun stopping players from making it.. Just like I expect people to stop me from making it if they already made it that week.. You guys really cringe at the competitiveness of this game don't you.. It shouldn't really be an issue if good players are stopping you, you'll get better, just practice. No one starts off completely destroying it. Communication and player placement is important.. Just run some strats that suit your team, don't worry about what everyone else is doing.
