Challenge to Trials experts, if you go 9-0 this weekend after you're done with your trip to the lighthouse run a 0-3 card just to help people out. You'll get loads of messages of thanks and there's no massive need for you to get another flawless run. Last week I had a team who played hide and seek against us when we found them we got a free kill. Was equally as fun as some of the best competitive matches I've played.
EDIT: image attached to show I have SMOGGYPLUTO'S blessing.
Also instead of just gifting people the win why not post flawless, play three games of hide and seek.

Sooooo... you want a free pass?

Edited by iFaFa_: 6/11/2015 6:01:41 PMThere is no way I'm losing on purpose to give people rewards. I dint understand this community. People bitch about Xur and now are literally handing out rewards.
-
Haha no.
-
I can see lord Shaxxs and Brother Vance shaking their heads on disappointment. That's a shame guardian.
-
No. I'm playing elimination and keep getting paired up with people who have the exotic emblem that are terrible players.
-
Most are too arrogant
-
It'd simplify things if you were only allowed a single 9-0 run and then you were done until next week. It'd give people a fighting chance.

I've yet to go flawless but last week I thought we were gonna get it...we were 6-0 going into our 7th match, and the other fireteam started spamming us with party inv...so we play a few rounds and we are winning 3 to 0 finally I accept one of the invites. It was there entire fireteam and they were very polite and kind. Finally while my friends beat them 4-0 they asked if they could please beat us bc it is there last fight before lighthouse they were 8-0. So call me a sap or soft or whatever but I inv my friends and explained the situation and they agreed as did I. So the entire rest of the game we would run at them and dance letting them kill us. They stayed in the party at the lighthouse and we're telling us what they got...really a great group of guys.
I let them win bc clearly it was more important to them than it was my team. At the end of the day I felt like a good person.
This is a community, for once this is actually a nice place to be.

Send them home crying!

Edited by Daddy Chill (Adept): 6/11/2015 5:38:27 PMEarn it. Edit: You'll feel 10x better when you work hard and beat me rather than me handing you a free win.

Hell all you have to do to get a win against me is show up. My last 4 passage cards have been 0-3. I consider myself a decent PvP player, but when it comes to ToO I engage full on derp mode when it starts. All I want is to get to the lighthouse, but I refuse to be carried. Any tips from any of the flawless people out here?
-
My friend has a glitch going on where he can't buy the mercy the first time around, so he has to burn that card. The two of us in the trials team other than him are going to use second characters to waste his card. How you ask? We are going to try our hardest, but can only use khostov. Warning in advance, if we kill you, the bags will be real.
-
If people did this to be I would be pissed off. Even though it's not hard to go 9-0, it would piss me off that people think I need help.
-
For everyone bitching about trials being "competitive" how is giving somebody a free win any different then having a low level guy in your raid team just so you can carry him through to help him get some gear? Because by all of y'alls logic that low level guy doesn't deserve to get that gear. Me and a friend of mine helped a raid team of nothing but 31s and below get through the abyss on hard just to maybe get them so weapons and they were unbelievably grateful even if we did sit there for half an hour. Maybe think about that next time that elitist prick in you wants to speak out.
-
Nope. Shut up scrub what is wrong with you. You're supposed to want to end people's cards not help them
-
If this was the last week before they turned destiny off, I'd say go for it. But this is week 3. Plenty of time to build skills, find teams and work at it. Emblems don't matter, it's doing something you didn't think you could do. It's just a stupid game, but it's how I choose to spend my Rec time so yeah, it does matter. Not much in the grand scheme, but it's a neat hurdle
-
Or, people could get better and earn their wins.
-
I wouldn't do this but it sounds like a nice move if you enjoy it. Too many teabaggers have raised my salt level to Pacific Ocean >.<
-
People are already doing this, there's even threads about...
-
It's a commie!
-
I'm sorry dude, but the only reason I run Trials Of Osiris these days is to keep people out of it!
-
The people who are really competitive at trials, really care about their win/loss and K/D ratio so this will never happen. Also, why would anyone help someone who isn't good enough to get there without free wins? This is a terrible idea and all you are trying to do is turn the only END GAME PVP event into something even lower skill players can achieve the highest rewards.
-
Sorry but this is COMPETITIVE multi player. I play for fun not to lot others win.
-
That would be forcing them to take a handout even if they want it earned. It was an immense, overwhelming sense of achievement when I saw the sun at the lighthouse for the first time. I would not want to deprive someone of that hard earned, battle tested glory.
